We stayed for 3 nights at the Julamis and the stay was excellent from the first to the last minute: the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast is delicious, our room (Tekit) was beautiful, comfortable and clean, the location is great (just a few blocks away from Merida's main square and very quiet)... and all of that at a very good price!

This hotel is beautifully decorated from the floor tiles to the wallpaper. We stayed in the Kabah room which was very spacious but slightly dark. There is a complimentary mini bar which was much appreciated.
It is located a few blocks away from the central street in Merida in a quiet area. (40 pesos taxi to the bus station).
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was filling and was served in the small courtyard which was a nice way to start the day.

Stayed at the Julamis in December. Just got back from travelling around for a month or so and am now writing the review. The Julamis is an excellent hotel in Merida! We stayed in Merida for 5 nights and ended up in two different rooms as they had no availability in one single room. Both rooms were great. We really loved the Corazon room though with the balcony! Really sweet! Out of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip of a month in the Yucatan the breakfast here was definitly the best! Also worth mention is the fact that my wife has a bad back and none of the pillows were doing the job for her. We asked Mel if they could find us a different pillow and they did. It was Erid's......and they let us keep it for the rest of our trip. It travelled to Ticul, Uxmal, Campeche, Hopelchen, Izamal and many other places. That is what we call "Customer satisfaction". Also if you need any help with info, tours, places to see, eat and stay in other areas, Mel knows his stuff! Oh yeah.... free mini bar too. Didn't have to buy beer once-nice. All in all you need to stay here. You won't be dissapointed!
