My husband and two of our adult children, 22 and 25 stayed here from the 22nd of December until the 26th in 2011. We are seasoned travellers and this has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed for the price. Our room was clean and adequate with its own bathroom and air conditioning and the beds were comfortable. We are foodies and my daughter and I did a cooking course while we stayed here. We were within walking distance of the big food market and with the well equipped kitchen we tried out the recipes we had learned for Christmas dinner with our family. The hotel gives you free tickets to a pool a few blocks away set in an amazing, lush jungle garden. There is a large common area and a roof top patio. The staff were friendly and helpful and felt like family. This hotel would be very safe for children and parents can sit in the common area outside their room after getting the children to sleep at night. It is a beautiful place with a wonderful ambience within walking distance of all of the old city.

What wonderful people! It is amazing how personalized service can make a great facility even more outstanding. The owner, Jim, walks the walk and talks the talk. He has instilled a service orientation to this small hotel that is a joy.
The facility is a recently renovated hostel. Each room is different and is comfortable and furnished with local items. Everything is clean and well maintained. People smile at you and look you in the eye.
The location provides an easy walk to just about anything, and, if you don't feel like walking, the staff will call you a cab. For a short stay or a long one, I don't see how you could do any better than this.

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Fantastic staff, super-clean and comfortable. Great location for walking around the city....nothing could be more convenient and yet quiet and secluded. A true bargain and a hotel I highly recommend.

Love this place! Clean, bright, tasteful, newly rennovated, air conditioning, ceiling fan, wi-fi, continental breakfast, charm, character, quiet area near town plazas, attention to detail (large bottle of Garnier shampoo in the shower, soft quality toilet paper, large bottle of liquid soap at the sink, adequate wall outlets, bottled water and soda for purchase, security box in the room, comfortable beds with quality bedding, etc), beautiful, original tile floors different in each room, kitchen available to prepare your own meals if you choose to, open areas to meet and socialize with other guests; and warm, friendly, helpful staff. Two of my young adult sons (age 28 and 20) and I stayed here 26, 27, and 28 Dec 2011. It is absolutely the best place we stayed in all of Mexico during our 10 day trip. Price is reasonable....don't raise your prices....we want to come back! It was a pleasure to meet you Jim. You have done a fantastic job with the place. Thanks for helping us to the car with our bags and for the dinner recommendation! It was fabulous! By the way, we stumbled upon your place when we arrived at 1am! What great luck!
