In January we spent only 1 night in the hotel, which is a good thing.
For a short visit or stopover in the city for a night – location is very good. It is just few minutes walk directly from lovely main city square.
Hotel has beautiful, picturesque and well maintained courtyard, as other reviewers already described, nothing to add on that. This definitely gives a great impression upon entrance from the street.
However, our room, at the ground floor right near the pool was quite awful, nothing of the rooms I see on pictures from other reviewers. It was room No 6 if I remember well, so avoid it in any way you can.
First, in the room was terrible smell of mould, I suppose it’s because of pool proximity. I wouldn’t complain if that would have been the only drawback. Same smell, just more intensive, and black traces of mould was in the bathroom. Shower was worst, mould and scale all around.
Room decoration would be nice (interesting wooden furniture in old domestic style) if it would have been maintained, but feeling of falling apart and dirt was all around. Bed covers were white and with several obvious dirt spots!!! Towels in the bathroom were also very poor and smelly. TV is hidden in wooden cabinet, I put on the side that it’s ancient TV set with dirty remote controller, but signal is very bad and it’s hard to watch anything. It was not important to us, as we just wanted to watch basic news and found that on the internet. Wireless internet was working and that was OK.
We couldn’t find more than one socket in the room (for that one we unplugged bed side lamp) to re-charge mobile phones and laptop.
Breakfast in the morning was OK (they serve it upon your order of available standard stuff, not buffet style), with huge minus that they do not have espresso coffee (not even as option to be paid).
Despite really lovely impression upon entrance – I wouldn’t choose this hotel again and thus wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. But again, it was just our room, I get impression that other rooms are much better than what we've got. So if you have to go there, avoid ground floor rooms on the pool side.
