My husband, teenage daughter, and I just came back from a wonderful stay in Isla Mujeres. Nautibeach was a quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of town, while still just a five minute walk from the restaurants and shops. The beach is absolutely lovely (except when the winds started blowing, requiring us to walk down the beach towards town about two blocks to more quiet sand and waters). The sunsets are exceptional. The condo (rented privately but I imagine they are all comfortable), was just right for the three of us, providing comfortable sitting, good cooking and eating space, and comfortable bedrooms to give us all our own space. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 5 nights on December 2011 to close the year. The service at hour late check in was outstanding, we got everything we needed to enjoy our vacations at the front desk. The cleaning service was the best. We felt as if we were at home every single day and we wont hesitate to come back.

Pros:

Staff--
Is generally professional, helpful, and friendly, especially Candelario. Housekeeping does a fine job. The gate guard and guard to the pool areas are welcoming, and security is good.

Beach amenities--
The beach is raked daily, and beach loungers/umbrellas/tables are put up whenever/wherever you prefer. In general, it was not hard to find a place to lounge on the beach.

The units are adequately stocked with essentials and are reasonably maintained.

Swimming was great, water temps wonderful. Sand is soft. Loungers are comfortable.

The gardens are pretty.

Access to town to was a breeze.

Cons:

Views--
The only units with an unobstructed beach view are on the third floor, no matter what you might read elsewhere. Objects/structures which impede the view:
1. Chichi Charlies- both their small hotel and restaurant are located between the condos and the beach
2. Extensive coconut trees throughout the grounds
3. The palapa roof over the tables that line the south end of the pool area
4. Sunset Grill restaurant.

Noise--
From inside your unit, you can hear anyone talking or making any sort of noise outside, as well as music from various restaurants. To avoid this, close doors/windows and turn a/c on.

Privacy-- the patios are offset on the second and third floors, so you can easily look into the next unit's patio with little effort. Creates noise and privacy issues, but is advantageous if you are traveling as a group and staying in adjacent units.

Internet--
Bandwidth was inadequate and many times Internet access was not available. Access requires going outside on your patio, as the signal did not often reach indoors.

Beach--
The beach area in front of the condos is small, and was often crowded by midday. Playa Norte is understandably the most popular beach on Isla, and as a result, the entire beach (including the areas in front of ChiChi Charlies, Sunset Grill, etc.) was as packed as (and felt like) Daytona Beach during Spring Break.

Groups--
When we were there in December, a number of guests were part of large groups, so if quiet and privacy is desired, this is not the place for you. Liking lots of kids and appreciating their high energy is helpful if you stay here.

Basics in the Condos--
The unit we stayed in was adequate although the mattress was sunken in the master. In addition, it was covered by a waterproof mattress pad which crinkled every time you moved on it, and it was quite hot and uncomfortable at night. The mattress pad situation was easily remedied, although obviously there was little we could do to address the uncomfortable mattress.

Overall, we wouldn't agree that Nautibeach condos are superb, as others have described. They are average units, and if your expectations are in line with this, you'll likely be satisfied with the accommodations.

We stayed in a 2 bed condo here and were completely satisfied with everything that the condo and the hotel staff offered. The condo was superbly stocked with utilities, tvs, videos and games etc. The reception staff and maid service was excellent as well as the location, right on the beach at Playa Norte.
