“A Beautiful place to stay in Cozumel Mexico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

We just returned home from a wonderful week in Cozumel Mexico. I give Mi Casa En Cozumel my highest rating. Every day we awoke to a delicious breakfast downstairs, which was included in the price of the room. The room was always clean, the architecture is gorgeous and Memo and Guierma were very friendly. There is a corner store a half block away and a large grocery store only 3 blocks away, it is a very convienient location and just enough off the main areas to be quiet, I would love to go back!

Room Tip: Go for the penthouse if you can! Otherwise they all looked great we stayed on the 3rd floor and enjo...

“A uniquely designed building with great hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

We stayed at Mi Casa for two nights in early January, 2012. We were impressed with the building as it uses local and reclaimed materials to create very interesting and pleasing sightlines, and a warn feeling.

We rented the top unit, Zapote. It is air conditioned but we didn't need it as there are many louvered doors that allow the breeze through. There were great views overlooking the town, the water and out toward the far side of the the island, as this unit has three balconies from which you can chase the sun/shade. There is a full kitchen (bottled water is supplied), BBQ area and dip pool. There is lots of indoor and outdoor space to sit/dine or watch the world go by. There is a full bathroom and a king bed upstairs. (Note: the steps are steep and are not for everyone, but once you're onto them, it was fine!) Off the main floor of this unit there is another unit that can be rented separately or in conjunction with Zapote. It also has a king bed. Renting the two units would be great for a family or two couples as there is plenty of space to socialize.

The location is great as we walked everywhere in town. Groceries can be picked up at Mega, just steps away. We parked our car in front of Mi Casa on the street with no problems.

Memo was great! He is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, answering questions and recommending restaurants. He truly takes an interest in his guests and wants them to fully enjoy their stay.

“Great deal on the island”

This was our first stay at Mi Casa, but our third visit to the island. We will definately stay at Mi Casa in the future. This was a really great bed and breakfast in the heart of the city, walking distance to everything. The breakfast was wonderful, the room we stayed in (naranja) had plenty of storage, a nice bathroom and a great patio area where we spent much of our time. This is a perfect place to stay if you really want to experience the culture. We came to dive and Mi Casa was exactly what we needed.

“What an amazing value!!! Beautiful property!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

We almost checked into a different hotel in Cozumel that starts with an "F" that was half as nice for twice the price. Luckily, we checked this property out first -- it's beautiful and relaxing and the price is unbeatable. Guillermo, the owner, is really sweet and helpful. He gave us a map and made restaurant recommendationa and called around to help arrange some dives for the next day. He would also check with us to find out what time we would need breakfast before our dives and relayed a message to us from the dive shop (no phone in the room). It really felt like he was taking care of us. However, as mentioned in other reviews there is not a 24/7 manned front desk and sometimes when you have a question there isn't automatically someone there to answer your question immediately(which can often happen when there is a front desk anyways). We stayed in the room Limon, which has a king sized bed, ceiling fan, tv, fridge and sitting area with a table and two chairs. There is also a patio with a hammock. This room is set up for some very nice cross ventilation, so we never felt too hot. This is a 2nd story room, so there can be a bit of noise from the neighborhood dogs barking once in a while but this didn't really bother me much. The hotel has beautiful architecture and coupled with the lush vegetation, it felt like coming back to an oasis everytime we returned to the hotel. If we ever return to Cozumel, this is the place we will stay.

“If it had AC would have been great.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

Nice boutique hotel, located a bit far from the center but the center of Cozumel is not a very interesting place...
The rooms are clean and nice but the heat killed us even at night. Although the room has a fan and a ceiling fan we got boiled in it...
The staff is really nice.
