We have stayed at IslaMar for the past seven years. Prior to that, we had stayed various places around the island, but none compared to IslaMar Villas. The pool is heavenly, and the other guests always become our friends. The locals in the area really make it a fun place to stay. Being off the beaten path is what we like...rent a couple of bikes (which are easily stored in the bike racks directly inside the gate), and we're ready to roll! We also love all the space we have to spread out our dive gear. On our last trip, we cooked and ate at home in the convenient kitchen most of the time.

I traveled here one winter to scuba dive with a group of friends, all of whom stayed at Sherri's wonderful villas! These are located in a quiet part of Cozumel, just a little bit off of the beaten path, but very close to great restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The villas are very spacious, wonderfully decorated, and offer all of the amenities one would expect. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with a kitchen, dining room, living room, and locking patio which is where we stored our scuba gear each day, and that was perfect! There are scuba gear cleaning stations and lockers, and a wonderful pool that the guests can share. The staff is wonderful; they keep the place very clean every day, and brought in large jugs of sterlized water for us. I would definitely stay here next time I return to Cozumel!

We have been staying at IslaMar Vacation Villas for the past 6 years. We would not stay any place else! Sherri and her staff are wonderful. Whatever you need they will get! We love that it is in the heart of the city. You can walk to most places and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. My husband usually scuba dives in the mornings and I go to Sherri's beautiful house to either lounge by her pool or the private beach. It is the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend this place.

IslaMar is the ideal alternative for one looking to move away from some of the glitz of the Cozumel tourist zone while retaining access to all the island has to offer. The apartments are comfortable, quiet and well kept; the grounds--pool and shaded garden--are a great place to lay back for awhile, and both are faithfully maintained by a dedicated housekeeping staff. The dive packages available through IslaMar rival anything on the island. In addition, Sherri Davis and her staff appear to have an encyclopedic knowledge of island attractions and the ability to set up whatever amusements her guests want. For a regular visitor to Cozumel like me, IslaMar has become a vacation home.
