Just got back to Chicago yesterday after a beautiful week in Cozumel. This was our 2nd time staying at this resort. First, all the things we love about this resort. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are large and very well kept with the best shower ever. Most of the staff is very friendly and will do whatever to make your stay enjoyable. A special thank you to our waiter Jorge who was so wonderful. I don't think there is a better sandy beach in all of Cozumel. Just beautiful and always enough chairs. The dive shop is wonderful. We took a snorkel trip with them for $39 - worth every cent. We saw squid, lobster, sea turtles, eels, sea cucumbers, lots of fish, and a field of starfish (they refer to it as hollywood). At the end of the trip a pod of dolphins approached the boat and we all jumped in and swam with them. Unbelievable, we were told we were very fortunate as this is a rarity. Unfortunaltey, the first day several people were stung by jellyfish all four of us included. Three of us were fine, one friend had a bad reaction with around 200 bites on her body, Bring along a prednisone just in case you need it. To call in a Doctor it is $100 usd. The jellyfish were so small you couldn't see them. This just happened one day all of the other days were fine. Suggestions, for the hotel: Put up a jellyfish warning. Have more than one bartender at the pool bar. Reception is very slow and not real friendly. Allow guests to make dinner reservations at the same time of check-in. All in all would recommend this resort. Had a wonderful week in the sun
