This isn't a plush, all-inclusive hotel. It's a very affordable hotel, perfect for divers, with a great on-site dive shop, that's so accommodating. Rooms are clean, all with phenomenal balconies to watch the sun sets and dive boats coming in and out. The onsite restaurant is very good, with gorgeous views. Everything is walking distance or very short $7 cab ride from here. We will definitely return for a dive trip again.

Stayed at blue angel for the first time and really liked it. Have always stayed at a bigger all inclusive resort, but was booked for the air show. Nice big rooms and great view. Liked the unlimited shore diving and the fast boats. The staff was very freindly and helped us find a company to rent scooters from. The only thing I didn't like was on our first dive there was a group of six. Three were taking pics and going slower than the rest. We got seperated into two groups of three and went on from there. I had no idea where our divemaster went. We finished our dive and went to the surface to see our divemaster already in the boat. I know they are not our babysitters, but I hope they at least stay in the water to make sure noone has any problems. He also seemed very disinterested in diving and just wanted to get it done. I won't mention his name, but luckily we got servando the next two days and he was great, We got to go up north to see the eagle rays, and he did great always finding things to see. Martin at the dive shop was great two. Would have no problem staying here again.

The Blue Angel Dive Resort is a place anyone looking for a great vacation spot & relaxing time will enjoy and charish for a lifetime. This hotel is exclusive, not inclusive... It's about you rather than 1,000 other people. Mr. Mathew Atkins is by far the best scuba instructor you could ask for. I only wish there were more college proffessors like him. He is not only incredibly knowledgable about the sport of scuba, but one of the most patient/calm instructors you could have. His knowledge of the the sport helps put your mind at ease with reguard to the dangers of the sport and explains the beauty and joy of what you are about to experience. His patients with learning from a completely invexperienced person wanting to be an open water diver to his unbelievable teaching ability for those who are very unsure about the experience,such as my wife and daughter who experienced a discovery dive while having many apprehensions. The Blue Angel itself is pneonominal. Eva is wonderful and the staff is fantastic. Gabriella/Alex and Sergio just to name a few are awesome. Jorge is a top notch dive master, and last but not least the motorcycle officer that pulled us over in front of the hotel for traveling 5km per hr too fast and asked for "a tip for his service". We love you too. HaHa.

Located just south (but within easy walking distance) of downtown San Miguel. All rooms are ocean view. Hotel has a nice pool and beach diving access. Beach diving is quite good with many interesting creatures. Blue Angel also has a dive shop with both fast and slow (larger) boats. Very pleasant hotel and dive shop staff. We have stayed and dove with Blue Angel many times and will be back again!
