We are very glad that we stayed at this friendly hotel for two nights. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished, very clean, well maintained, and quiet. We like to read at bedtime and were delighted to find good lights, well placed to enjoy a book. We paid a little more to be on the inner courtyard with the large pool which meant there was no street noise and we had restful nights. This was our third week of travel in Mexico in a variety of hotel levels. We really appreciated "extras" such as the hair dryer, box of tissues, and plenty of towels in all sizes. But the most pleasant and enjoyable part of this fine hotel was the staff--friendly, helpful, kind people that made us feel most welcome. Emeril and Antonio assisted us with catching the local bus out to Chichen Itza and to Valladolid the next day, they answered many questions about the town, they even found time to teach us a few Mayan phrases--all with patience and good humor. Efrain saw to our comfort in the room and shared sweets with us. Luis, the manager, is perfect for his position--immediately making us feel as if we were old friends. For all these reasons we would strongly recommend this hotel to travellers. The one drawback we encountered was the breakfast which was called "American." The first morning this was not great. However, the second morning we were invited to partake of the buffet for the same price. The frijoles, eggs, and a tortilla dish were delicious as was the watermelon juice. We felt this hotel was excellent value and would happily stay there again.
Room Tip: The courtyard rooms are the quietest.
