We traveled with a group of friends and the price was right. The resort was very clean and the staff was very pleasant at check in. The fun started when you got into the elevator or should i say tried to get into the elevator. It was about the size of a small closet and hot as an oven. It says it can fit 9 people but 3 was pushing it. Our room was spacious but had a strong musty smell to it that never went away as the week went on. The mini bar would not get things cold unless you left the doors on the cabinet open. The pool was very nice and had great views of the ocean but if you like to swim in the evening forget it they closed the pool at 8pm even when it was hot in the evening. The bars were nice and the bartenders were pleasant. Bar service around the pools was nearly non existent but occasionally they would come around and if you passed them a few bucks they would return. If you dont speak mexican you will have some trouble communicating with the staff. Be prepared to be bombarded with the sales pitches for the time share they would be on you like white on rice as soon as you hit the lobby. Overall we had a great vacation but you really need to make your own fun and thank god it didnt rain because there is NOTHING to do if it does at the resort that is. You are close to shopping and restaurants so if you want to you can go out to eat for a change of pace. Like the title says you get what you pay for.

If you like a hotel with nice clean rooms, nice pools, nice beach and mediocre food, with no night life this is the place for you. The staff is very friendly, but it would be nice if the understood a little bit more english. We found the only way to keep the mini fridge cold was to keep the cabinet doors in front of it open. It was an advantage to have the black wrist bands, the VIP lounge and breakfast were a major plus. You will find that tipping just a couple of dollars now and then goes a long way to getting a little extra service.I would advise getting pesos from your own bank before traveling because the front desk does not give the current exchange rate. Don't go there expecting great meals the food is mediocre and the portions are small. I would advise leaving the hotel one day and going to the Grand Oasis Cancun, nice change of pace. If you are looking for any night life you have to leave the resort, I recommend Pat O'Briens it is a blast. Finally I guess you get what you pay for, this was an inexpensive vacation worth the price.

Fabulous beach area with very safe swimming for children. 4 good restaurants. Super clean restrooms throughout property. Friendly staff. We did have to ask 4 times for them to fill the minibar, but otherwise service was great.

We had the best trip I have ever had in my entire life!!! The beach was beautiful. Beautiful sunny hot weather every day. Excellent food at all the restaurants and exceptionally friendly staff at the hotel. This was the cleanest place I have ever stayed at. The price was amazingly cheap.
