very nice hostel near bus terminal with a swimming pool, i recommend it....

Luckily we only stayed one night at this hostel, it is very basic and the breakfast is poor. Staff arent very helpful and showers are cold but it is close to buses and some shops. Nice pool area.

One of the best value-for-money hostels I've ever stayed in. Stayed in a private double with air-con, bathroom w/ hot water, cable tv, free towels, excellent free breakfast, full kitchen, nice pool with lounge chairs and hammocks, and free internet, for under $15/person/night. Very clean, friendly staff to let you in all hours of the night, very secure, good location, only a 20-30 min. 75 cent bus ride to the hotel zone, surronded by great cheap restaurants and next to a huge grocery store. Even without everything else, this place is worth it for the great air-con alone!

After we turned up at Hostel el Meson de Tulum and were told our room burnt down........... On our return to the UK I obviously asked "HostelWorld" for a refund (a mere £5). HostelWorld refused to refund us saying we had to contact the hostel direct (which is ridiculous). The hostel then LIED and said they'd offered us refund when we were in Mexico. Several months later I still have no refund. I will prob go to my credit card. So my advice is: don't stay here and don't use "HostelWorld", use HostelBookers insetad they seem to have same places on there.
