My 2nd trip to Oasis Palm beach...first trip was just before Christmas and the hotel was nicely decorated..the restaurant "A la carte" outside was very good..good food as well at "the asian restaurant". I liked it but don't go for the beach...no beach...if you like pool it's ok. the pool food was ok but the buffet nothing special...My second trip, we arrived at 10am and were told no room available to come back in 1hr..went back 1hr later..nothing. 2hr later still nothing..It's hot and we feel just wanted a nice shower, change clothes and go for a drink..at 2pm..exactly we asked to see the manager...we were VERY UPSET at that time, and they gave us a room at the hotel next door "Grand Oasis" with a bracelet of the Oasis Palm beach...so everytime we were in the hotel we felt "we did not belong there", had to go back to "Our" hotel next door for our drinks, meal, beach etc...."The hotel "Grand Oasis" called us at 10pm..one night to ask if we took 1 beer out of the fridge????we said yes and don't worry we will pay for it...did not like the service at that hotel either...so will never go back there...lots of other hotels in Cancun and we have been to a few other that give a "Better service"

I won this hotel on hotwire (if you can call it a winning), the only thing that helped me saving my Cancun vacation was the fact that I were planing to stay at different hotels and Oasis Palm was the first of all (ended my vacation at better places)

first of all don't expect any help from the front desk, talked to them about 5 different issues and never got the proper answer. he kept saying the same thing! : "talk to your travel agent"

the food at its best was only mediocre, didn't even want to go to eat sometimes and I'm the easiest person when it comes to the food, to be fair, I did enjoy the fried fish at their seafood restaurant.

the smell of seafood was a little bit annoying around the pool area since the restaurant kitchen is located right next to the pool

rooms are dated, shower was leaking the whole time, the plus side is the A/C. the most powerful A/C in a Cancun Hotel's room that I've ever seen

I traveled solo and I don't speak Spanish - not a good idea - there were maybe just couple of other people who could communicate with me. (except the front desk, other staff were so nice and helpful tho)

the beach is OK, didn't like the sea there. filled with seaweeds and too calm and shallow (4 feet at most)

overall if you plan to stay at an Oasis property make sure you stay at Oasis Cancun or Grand Oasis Cancun, beware that the Oasis Palm is a different property

it well worth to pay the extra money to stay somewhere else

I agree with the others when they say "make sure you know what Oasis hotel you booked". We made the unfortunate mistake of not printing our voucher before arriving there. We were shuffled to 3 different hotels upon arriving in Cancun. None of the "Oasis" hotels had our name on their reservation lists, but they were certainly able to find our credit card when we booked the all-inclusive trip! Finally at the 3rd hotel and 9:30pm, they checked us into the Oasis Palm. We did realize that the Oasis Palm is more kid/family friendly, and us being a younger couple thought we would have liked the Oasis Cancun better, but once we visited it (Oasis Cancun) and realized it’s like Spring Break that never ended, we we’re happy with where we were. The next morning we tried to talk to a manager regarding our reservation mishap and they advised us that there was no manager and then dumped us onto a lady trying to sell damn timeshares. So basically, we realized that no one was going to help us and we decided to just enjoy the trip from there on out... And we did just that. Food and beverages were just fine. We made our rounds at all of the restaurants at all of the "Oasis" hotels and never experienced any sickness; however they could use an air-conditioner or two. We brought and insulated Nalgene and they never had a problem filling it with ice water for us. The servers were great, even bringing us drinks on the beach and at the pool. It's amazing what a few dollars here and there and a great attitude can get you! No one really bothered us on the beach to buy things, or rather, no more than any other place we've visited. When you go into town they can be pushy to buy their stuff, but with a dirty look, they seemed to have gotten the idea. I recommend seeing the ruins in Tulum and visiting one of the water parks there (Xelah). Also, Isle Mujures is a must! It is so beautiful and laid back, take a golf cart tour around the island. No matter what, it’s pretty hard to ruin a vacation in Cancun.

Room tip: Rooms with balconies are not oceanfront!

Went there on June 28th of 2012..
Worst place I have ever stayed at in Cancun and I have went to Cancun 25 times.
Twice a year for the last 12 years.
The hotel a DUMP. Service BAD.Food Made 5 out of 7 of us SICK for Days......
We have Friends that Retired to cancun and live there and they even said this place was a DUMP......
We have stayed all up and down the hotel zone and this place was the WORST....
Rooms were Nasty in the Pyrimad hotel. OHH and if you were staying in the Grand Oasis Palm you could go to both sides. If in the Oasis Palm you could only eat there and it sucked.
Buffet Buffet Buffet and the food was what made us all sick on the Buffet......
First time Booking the trip through FUNJET their rating was one and a half stars more than APPLE VACATIONS. Should have went with APPLE VACATIONS.
Even if they offered me a FREE TRIP BACK THERE I WOULD NOT GO..
So what I'm saying is for the Money Spend a little more and save yourself a headache...THAT PLACED SUCKED....

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Spend the extra money and stay elsewhere. During our stay, we were directed to the wrong room, our toilet clogged and filled our room and the hallway with water, bathroom light broke, and slipped on a puddle of water in the lobby with no wet floor sign. I called maintenance to fix the toilet, they hung up on me, called again and said they will send someone. The floor was over flooded with water that went into the hallway and someone did not help me until I had to go downstairs and make a scene. They were only concerned to help when they found out the water went into the hallway. Next night when the bathroom light broke I called, they hung up on me again. Called again and said someone will fix it. Waited 3 hours so I went downstairs and they said there is nothing they can do, I have to speak to guest services. I did not feel like dealing with any of their crap anymore so my fiance and I showered in the dark. The light was still not fixed when I left. This is a cheap place that will just ruin your vacation as it did ours. Management is never around and when I was able to speak to someone, they were not very accommodating. Would never stay here again.
