“Great Place for the Price!”

If you are a no frills budget traveler who is looking for a clean comfortable bed and a clean functional bathroom. Then this place is your dream come true! I would recommend this place without hesitation. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especial the friendly bar maid, Erica is without question a sweet lady. The pool and Jacuzzi are as pictured, there is a roof top sun viewing area. For me the location was ideal. Just a few blocks away you can hop onto the bus and go anywhere in the city, especially to the hotel zone while avoiding the noise and congestion. Within walking distance is the main shopping area with a big food supermarket. You are walking distance away from two of the docks going to the island of woman. The restaurant and food are great and there is another even more affordable street side restaurant just a few blocks towards the sea, ask for Jorge, he is friendly and speaks great English. This place is comfortable but it is not luxury. I hate to pay big money for room when I can use my money to see the site. So this place was ideal for me. Check it out! Btw, you don’t need a car in Cancun. With the ADO bus from the airport to city, with taxi’s everywhere and the bus, and so much you can walk too, why get a car? But there is also free parking at this hotel. Btw, they have a nice TV and free internet.

“Very nice staff...not so good location”

The photos of the hotel are beautiful...but when my boyfriend and I got into Cancun we had no clue that the hotel was in the middle of the city. Now that is purely my fault for not researching it correctly...but the location requires a cab to get anywhere. We only used Cancun as a transitional city (thankfully--the purpose of this city is purely tourist resorts) to see other parts of Mexico. Our room was on the 4th floor and no elevator...those stairs made it hard for us to want to go to and from the room, especially with the luggage. The wifi is only avail in the front office. But the staff was so so so nice and the pancakes in the restaurant were fantastic!

“Clean...clean...clean!”

This was our second year to stay here and we will return. Have recommended it to friends and they were equally impressed. The staff is helpful and friendly. They seem to take pride in their work and it shows. Everything is spotless from the room to the pool. The bar and restaurant were under construction while we were there this year so we are looking forward to 2011 to see it completed.

“A diaper under the bed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2010

This "boutique hotel" (local for roach motel) is the worst place we have stayed.
The shuttle service was late to pick up from hotel, the driver was nice and apologetic, so no worries on that.
Once he drove, I started to worry about the location, it sure didn't look like a nice place to be. and sure I was. It is located in a residential poor neighborhood (ghetto) graffiti and empty lots welcome you to the neighborhood. On a positive note, across the street there is a gas station with store, and buses are nearby, walking distance is a very rough shopping center that you will expect in any rundown area of baltimore or detroit.
Also short walk distance there is a ferry to Isla Mujeres.
Now on the bad part. The hotel is being remodeled with subprime materials and low quality work. ie. an a/c that didn't work properly, no insulation in rooms, bed headrests made out of concrete, plastic still attached to the cheap bathroom windows and doors, a tv from the mid 80's... Oh and a diaper under the deb to say "welcome"

This place was gross, not clean at all.

It has some ok things like a jacuzzi and pool, but giving the cleaning-less and location i would definitely not recommend to anyone.. not even enemies if i had some.

“The staff cant help you...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2010

The main point is: if you need any kind of help of this staff, forget it. They are not gentle or friendly. The corridors was always dirty and internet cant reach all the rooms...
I f you go for tourism, forget it. It is far for everything.
