“Great Hotel- Great VALUE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Great Week. Did the apple square deal. We got a steal....i mean way more that what we paid for. I will continue to use Apple! (this is not an ad...i just trust them).
Room: Ran out of our "Deluxe" room and had to upgrade us for free! Ended up with a panorma room. Super nice with 2 walls of windows and a ocen view/patio. Nice big shower. Maid service /mini bar service great. We left a note (attached to some cash) in the fridge with our diet pepsi/water requests...and EVERY DAY we always had 6 bottles of water and 6 diet pepsi's.

Food; I did set the alarm to wait in line for the a la cart dinners....but it was so worth it! We did Italian night, intercontential night, rodizion (brizilian night) and french night. The food was prepared so beautiful it was almost hard to eat. My husband ate steak every night. Each course was the right size and extreamly flavorfull. We were NEVER hungry. Breakfast was always wonderful with special made to order omlets/eggs...if you gave it to the cook, she would put it in there. A few times they even made a special trip to find me FRESH spinich! My husband on some mornings would go back for seconds...no problem. Fresh grapefruit!!!! Lunch, always plenty of salad stuff, fresh/grilled veggies, and lean meat choices. We eat very 'clean' and had no problem. The deli was perfect for a quick bite/sandwich/fruit after workout before dinner. If your a junk food lover, they always have self serve ice cream/cakes/cookies though out the food areas.

Beach:pool- Great, just drop off your towels on your way into breakfast. If you want to sleep/read go to the quite pool. We found the sun more reliable in the morning.

Gym: ok...that kinda sucked. Old/rusty equipment. We made do...I ended up running stairs,
doing push up/boso ball, lung work outs. I was able to burn enough calories to come home the same weight.

Let me know if you've got questions. This is a quiter resort...which was perfect for us, the entertainment is over at 10, therefore if you want to relax and just listen the ocean on your deck, you've made the right hotel choice.

Room Tip: get the panorama room! It's on the corner, so you get an ocean front and a southern exposure.

“Great time!! Def will return to this hotel!”

My partner and I went for 5 days 4 nights and I just got back last night. We had such a great time despite the fact that the first 2 days were pretty rainy. There was always so much to do including a wonderful jacuzzi (where we stayed most of the rainy days), 1 huge heated pool where the swim up bar and most of the activities were held and then on the bottom level was a another pool that was beautiful as well, where people went to be away from the activities but still catching some good sun rays. On the adult side there was another pool that was very nice and quiet. Beautiful view of the beach!! which had crystal clear water and was actually hotter than the pool. Our favorite was the entertainment shows that they had every night. There was a magic show that was awesome the first night and then there was a mime show that was hilarious and then the day of the superbowl they had a huge viewing of the game with a while buffet of american food. All though a lot of other reviews said the food was horrible, I would have to disagree. For an all inclusive resort, I thought the food was actually good- they did have a lot to choose from and always were asking you if you wanted their delicious drinks. There are tons of places to get food through out the day/night. You will definitely never go hungry. In fact, you will probably be eating every half an hour. The staff was by far the most attentive and welcoming staff I have ever encountered. They were always happy and loved serving you and having fun. You will definitely be waited on hand and food. Marco Polo is their restaurant that you need to make reservations for at 8am that day- It wasn't that hard to make reservations, just be prepared to wake up that early- which you should already be doing to enjoy the beautiful sun! The food there was very good! I actually went there the night of my birthday and they gave me a piece of cake and a lottt of shots. We were always happy even when it was raining there was always something to keep yourself occupied with. We didn't opt to upgrade to the ocean view room but our room was huge anyways! It was on the side so we faced another hotel and got to see the ocean and its beautiful waves from our balcony. Every night they also have stuff going on in the lounge (usually after the shows) and they have dancing, live music, karaoke etc. and the best part is everyone is there to have fun and mingle. I suggest going to the actual hotel website and booking the airport shuttle through there- it went so smooth and it was only 20 dollars per person roundtrip! We loved how the bellboys and hotel staff knew exactly what was going on at all times. Also, the buses that other reviewers mentioned before were very easy to navigate. You can take the R1 or R2 downtown (you can always ask the front desk because they are very helpful) and its 8.50pesos or just 1 dollar if you want to make it easy. We didn't exchange our money because every place took dollars as well as pesos but just make sure to always carry $5 and $1s as oppose to $10s and $20s because a lot of places don't have change to give you. And it's easier for tipping. You will want to take the bus to "la isla" it's a mall where you can get great deals on souviners and also visit other americanized stores. Overall our stay was amazing and did NOT want to leave.

only cons I have are:
- I wish the pools were not made from stones/rocks because it is a little rough when sitting down
- Less ham/pork in everything

Other than that we will be back!! It was honestly the cleanest resort we have ever been to! Message me if you need advise on anything else. Enjoy your trip!

Great resort, beach was clean and water was amazing ,service was amazing, my drinks were never empty, the minute I put my glass down there was another drink for me , loved it.

I had ocean view room, worth it.....the rooms were clean , the beds a little small but comfortable
And free safe in the room which was great.

As for the food at the foodcourt it was average but , the restaurant Marco polo was very good , make sure you have reservation , must do.

As for night life , well could improve .....need to go out of resort to have fun .....try coco bongo , worth the money and amazing show, was surprise.

To get around , the bus was so easy and cheap .

Would go back in a heart beat

“December get-a-way”

My daughter & I went to celebrate my grandaughters 13th birthday.. We had adjoining rooms facing the ocean & the pools. They were very comfortable & clean .Beds were hard and I requested some foam which did the trick the other room with 2 doubles was fine. These rooms face all the afternoon activites. They can be enjoyed if you want to participate or watch from your balcony but if you want to rest or sleep it can be very noisy. The pools and the beach were great. You could walk along the sand and not burn your feet. Although the ocean was a little rough we were able to swim most days. The buffets were varied and we always found something enjoyable to eat, The service in the al a carte restaurant was wonderful. All of the staff went out of their way to accomodate our needs. The shows were terrific. I would reccomend this hotel

Room Tip: The hallways seem to be noisy but there are only rooms on one side on the oceanfront of the 5th floo...

“FABULOUS trip and we will be back!!!”

This resort was fantastic! We were there Jan 27-31 and will will for sure go back! The hotel itself was clean, well maintained, SPECTACULAR staff who are all happy and wanting to please. The 24/7 food and drinks were great (I gained a good 6lbs in 5 days...). It's only a 5-10 minute drive from the airport and there are constant taxis/buses in front to go wherever you may want to go. The nightly shows were a blast and completely different each night. There are quiet places as well as entertainment areas and family friendly areas. We also went snorkeling at Aqua World which is right down the street (not included but very fun). Something for everyone! We went as a group of 6 (3 couples) and all 6 of us agreed we will be back!

Room Tip: We got upgraded to the ocean view room with a balcony which was amazing! SO worth it! Waking up to...
