Scheduled 4 day visit to Cancun to celebrate anniversary. Very last minute, didn't spend much time on selection other than reviews of past visitors. We were extremely pleased with our choice. Clean, large room with fully stocked mini fridge and alcohol (which we didn't touch). Excellent pool area, food was good and the selection was very nice. The staff and overall facility was clean and full of friendly faces ready to assist. From arriving at the airport to departing back to the airport, Apple Vacations was a class act. We had no problems and the vacation was idiot proof. I am sure there are newer, nicer choices...but for the money you can't go wrong with the Riu Caribe. Great Trip, looking forward to next year.

We were very happy with our vacation over all. The hotel was very clean and people were very friendly. They bring a fruit drink to you when you are checking in which was refreshing after traveling. Food was good. Loved the fish and all the fresh fruit and fruit drinks. Our only complaint was the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. They are building a new hotel next door and our room over looked that and little disappointing. The walls were not very sound proff and you could hear people outside occassionally. They gave you great drink service in the lobby but not by the pool or beach. But over all we really enjoyed our time.

lovely pool and beach......staff very friendly and helpful.....we saw two of the nightly shows and found them very entertaining.....rooms very clean, we had an awesome balcony, and loved the convenience of the room safe.......booked two trips through Rene at poolside, a Samba snorkle trip and a dolphin swim, both were excellent......food really good .......
our complaints -the reservations required for the speciality restaurants were a bit of a pain, and the girl in charge of it screwed up a lot......, also the lobby bar lacked ambience (turn down the lights!!!)

Just returned from RIU CARIBE & the overall impression was great. I really cant find allot of faults @ this resort, its a 4 to a 41/2 star thats alittle worn out but still very nice for the price we paid.
Staff was great, food was good, cocktails were good, room was good.
If there was 1 thing that did bother me it was that they say the mini bar is restocked daily but we had to call every second day to remind them, but once we did they restocked it.
I would recommend this hotel if somebody asked me my opinion of it.
We stayed 1 week on Feb 4th/12.
