We started off on the property in a non-view room as there was a problem with our expedia reservation so we had to book a reservation until they found that one - that room was not any better than a motel 6. NO view except the street, small, just ok...no coffee cups, no room for furniture other than bed. This was floor 2 and seemed dumpy to be honest.
The second room once our reservation was confirmed was the regency club level ocean view on the 11th floor. The room was nicer - much better view but the beach side faces a bar that we could hear through the sliding doors at night. No a big deal just a sligh annoyance - this level includes breakfast which was nice. It was continental but a decent selection. Unfortunately re: the room, they also forgot towels, a shower mat and conditioner in our room which was annoying. We only needed the room for a night though so it was fine and we decided not to bother too much.
The gym is great. Big, air conditioned & two rooms - one for weights one for cardio machines. I think it's one of the better ones in Cancun, We also went to the indoor restaurant - it was a bit overpriced- $32/person for fish taco buffet - not too many options either but it was good - I had the seafood pasta & fish tacos and enjoyed them both - just pricy. Staff was friendly overall. Wifi was included in the price which was nice. Beach was good, pool seemed like it was in a weird spot but it was pretty cool. The inside of the hotel is really beautiful, it's a big cylinder which is cool. So the food was pricy and the room was just ok/on the very small side - if these issues aren't a big deal to you, then I would recommend the hotel.
