We enjoyed our stay at the BelleVue Beach Paradise. The food was decent for the price. They had a lot of resort activities that sounded like fun like Casino Night and Kharoake, but the main bar area was so smokey at night we didn't want to participate in any. We brought our 3 month old baby, so we were very concerned about the smoke. They allow smoking all over the hotel, except in the restaurants. There were ashtrays in the hallways. We noticed it in our room on several occasions. Rooms were very echoy and loud. The Mediterraen restaurant was very good.

it is an older hotel, by the ocean. you are bound to have some issues. the salt air alone, will do that. staff was always cleaning this, or touching up that. we were there for 8 days, and everyday the staff went out of their way to make your stay very enjoyable. FOOD, was always a great selection. buffet, high class Mediteranian, Little Italy, snack bar, there was always food of sorts, available, till wee hours of the morning. No coffee maker in the room, and coffee is not usually ready until 6 or 6:30, so take some instant with you. there is a kettle to boil, and fridge for cream or such. we're early risers, so from 5:00 to 6:30, you need a coffee or two. had NO issues with the food, and they have bottled filtered water always available. we were on the first floor, which is still about up 3 floors up, south facing.. AWESOME VIEW. ask for VICTOR, he is the man!!! bar tenders were great. any drink you could think of. hot tub was full, but very cool. would have been nice to get in there first thing in the morning, but maybe next time. you can book your adventures through the hotel as well. BEST DAY on ground floor. ask for ZAYDEE, she knows her stuff. did the dophins on Isla Mujeres, and was well worth the money. not much info about Cancun at the hotel itself, so if you can find at the airport, grab it. took many bus rides (wear your seatbelts) and same goes for the taxi rides. little items like: #1 selected non motor water sports were included. (that would be a snorkel, flippers, and a mask.) #2 introduction to scuba diving (that didn't happen, and we didn't ask) #3 didn't have the gym that they advertised. (you need something when you are eating all that food)


All in all, we WILL be back. Adios :)

For the price we paid this worked out very reasonable.
There is an unheated pool and Jacuzzi and a very warm ocean with a nice sandy beach at the back of the hotel.
There was a buffet restaurant that a good array of food for 3 meals a day, a nicer sit down restaurant that can be booked with ok food, a buffet stand beside the pool that did burgers and hotdogs and another italian one I didn't try (we wanted to try a lot of restaurants, outings and other stuff while we were there) and a pool bar (shuts at 5) and two other quiet bars/receptions areas.
Staff were friendly most of the time and helpful whenever you ask for anything.
The room was very large with ample storage and a balcony and two queen beds even though we booked a double.
They have shows on the weekends and awful karaoke style singers on the weekdays which the older couples in the hotel seemed to like but we went out most nights.
It's location is down the end of the hotel strip but a very cheap bus service runs through the hotel district 24/7.

I stayed at this resort last year with my boyfriend in Feb. I do not have anything bad to say about this place! the food was great, and the restraunt at night Little Italy served pizza all night long and if you wanted them to make you a burger they would! The pool is modest lots of volley ball, bingo and activites, the staff her were great, we stayed in a king room without ocean view, it had no mini fridge but that didnt matter because there is watercoolers all over this hotel to get a fresh drink of cold water. The beach is amazing, if you want to get a seat tho get up early they go fast! I would love to go back to this hotel,and the price is great!
