we stayed at Ocean Spa Hotel through a phone promotion that we purchased a while back.. I though for sure we were in for it when we arrived to Cancun... but we were pleasently surprised and refreshed!!! The hotel is cute... ocean front... and newly rennovated. But most of all, the service!!! The staff at Ocean Spa, were so helpful, very personable and attentive to our families needs. My favorite part is that we had access to the other properties so it was fun to go and explore what other ammenities were available. We passed most of our time at Ocean Spa.... out on the beach and in the pools. I have already inquired about getting the same package deal for next year, or even christmas... Hopefully w can visit another property, but regardless, we will be back to Ocean Spa Hotel in the future. Thank you to all the staff and employees for making our vacation stay affordable and memorable!

I was quite concerned after reading the reviews once I booked my vacation. It was a last minute vacation that my boyfriend and I were taking because I had a week to use/exchange from my timeshare. I am so glad I didn't listen to any of the negative reviews.
First off let me say that I have traveled a decent amount and the service and attenetiveness was some of the best I have ever experienced. Anything you needed, the staff was at your side and did it with a smile. So welcoming and warm. The rooms were clean, the view was great, the resort was well maintained and just wonderful. The food was so well prepared and just delicious. Portion size was just right. The beach wasn't the best in the world but the view and surrounding area was phenomonal. We had the all-inclusive package and were able to enjoy food and activities from their other 2 sister resorts as well. So easy to get around whether you use the hotel shuttle, bus, taxi, or your own 2 legs.
The whole vacation was fabulous and I recommend doing many of the tours and activities that they suggest. The tours were amazing and the tour guides were so knowledgeable. The hotel can actually set them up for you at sometimes a better rate.
All in all great vacation, great hotel, wonderful, relaxing stay. Bravo!

My bestfriend and I stayed at the Ocean Spa Hotel as I bought the package from a Sams Club promotion. The hotel seemed updated but the lobby was hot. The staff was very friendly every time we needed anything. The women working in the gift shop were extremley helpful and took time to explain the area to me as we were first timers in MX. Our room upon our arrival was hot so we cranked up the AC and had the fan on constantly to keep it cool. Out view was of the swimming pool, which has a swim up bar. The room was very clean and each day the maid service (supervised) would make our beds, mop, and freshen the room. Two thumbs up on clean!!! The beach however was horrible and you couldn't swim because of the rocks and debree so that was disappointing. Also the hotel was far away from Downtown Cancun and everytime we needed a taxi it was $10 to 12 dollars each way. I wouldn't stay here again soley on the Beach and location but the service, staff, and room were OK. Next time I would want to stay in downtown Cancun!

I have just returned from a great five day and four night stay at the Ocean, the staff were very friendly and attentive. It was obviously not a brand new hotel but the lobby has been remodeled and it is very nice, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed.
The hotels exterior is very clean and well kept. We enjoyed our time tanning the pools and the swim up bar. We also did some kayaking right from the beach! My boyfriend and I went to the Ocean for a five day and four night stay that we bought over the phone through a promotion. We found it very easy to hop on the local bus and get to all of the resteraunts, discos and shopping. We where a little concerned with some of the mixed reviews but we really could not tell what the fuss was all about, our room was very clean and the maids even left animal decorations made out from towels. My boyfriend and I also enjoyed some great massages up in the new spa as well. The waiters in the resteraunt were great! Every morning they brought over my OJ with 2 straws and my boyfriends coffee black with one sugar(just the way we ordered it our first morning for breakfast. The wait staff were all so kind and welcoming! We enjoyed are omlettes looking out at the sea every morning. We did not have thousands of dollars to spend a Hilton or Marriot but had a great vacation just the same at the Ocean Spa. It was more than we expected and would definitly return.
