If you are forced into staying in Cancun for a night, I highly recommend this place.
The breakfast bar was good and the pool looked inviting.

We stayed in the Holiday inn Express just one night before leaving Cancun next day. It's on a good location (not on the main boulevard but very near in a quieter neighbourhood, but close enough to everything. At the reception they we're very helpfull. We had a problem with our tv and in less than 2 min. somebody came over to fix it. We had a nice breakfast the next day on the terrace (nice staff). We didn't check out the beach club because it we thought it was too cold at that time. Maybe not the hotel to spend a romantic holiday but a very nice option if you stay only a couple of days. For the price you pay you get a more than decent hotel room.

great, good rate, clean, dont need a car, close to evrything

We arrived in Cancun late at night and elected to stay at the Holiday Inn since we were leaving town the next day and would not receive any benefits from staying at a more expensive hotel on the beach. While not on the beach this hotel is located in a very safe feeling part of the Hotel zone. The room was clean and quiet and in the morning there is a free breakfast that includes ham and eggs. Overall a very good value - I might stay there again in the future and walk/drive to the public beach instead of staying at a $200/night resort.
