Very nice hotel... where to start...
First, this hotel is not for everybody.. This could be a backpackers hotel or for people who dont care about the luxury. very good location, NOT ON THE BEACH Ok. This hotel is fornt to the Lagoon, you can not swim in it tehres crocodiles. 25 minutes from the airport. You are 5 minutes bus distance to the Playa Chacmool or 25 minutes by walk, very nice beah with waves and white sand. Very short distance from local restaurant. Theres Ty-Kos, Las fajitas and much more to eat good and cheap. The hotel restaurant, la Belga is good for double the price. In general the hotel is good, clean, but dont ask to much it is a 3 star so respect that. Dont complain ok you pay for what you got! Shopping, markets, Mc dolald, KFC, Burger King etc are in the same area if you are mixtup with the mexican food style. Dont be shy to take the bus, it is 7.5 pesos every 5 minutes 7/7 24hrs, bus R1 or R2 for hotel zone. This hotel offer European plan..No meals or alcohol included. Nice pool outside and clean area. Lots of local family. You can bring your beer to the pool etc.The room service is good and not mandatory.. she doing the dishes also ! everything to cook is included, plates, fourk, knife, glases etc. Go to teh OXXO or Extra to buy your beer and cigarettes very cheap, 1 dollar canadian a beer and 2 dollar canadian for a malboro. Go downtown localy and you can stop to Plaza las americas which is a big mall center or go diner at Rolandis for nice italian pasta..for 2 person with bottle of wine 45..00 $ canadian. Or go touristic area the other side at Plaza la Isla for souvenirs and stuff or Hooters or Plaza la Fiesta and Coral Negro for arts and crafts. Taxi, becareful ask the price befor get in.. but even that its expensive. BARS, samething take the bus or walk it is very easy, 7.5 pesos bus or 50.00 pesos taxi. Open bar from 20.00 us to 70 us depend where you decide to go. Try Corona Bar first and after switch to the Beach Club somethimes they have good package. Tours, see your rep on arrival to pick up few of them.. I really recommend Aquatic Expedition included Cenote (underground River), lagoon and .... youll see! catamaran to isla mujeres and Ocean runners for wave runners crazy 130HP machine.
becareful, you gona receive a call in your room.. is supose to be the concierge but is not... is time sharing dont go there and tell that your not interested!
well thats about it i think so... i use to live in mexico and 3 years in cancun so i know a lot !! dont be shy for questions!

We arrived in Cancun and followed the directions. The owners has two hotels and the directions were for the other hotel. It took us a while to find the proper one. In the room with kitchenette, no stove. They brought one later that did not work properly. We asked to change and they send another one that there was only one burner working. We took a shower and there was just enough hot water for two. The following day, no hot water and it took them the entire day to fix it. The dishes in the kitchen aren't worth talking about it. No soap for us or for the dishes and no shampoo for us until they saw we bought our own. The maid come on sporadic day. Sometimes she does the dishes, sometimes not. There is a towel on the floor, permanently to pick up water entering from the patio door. All the lounge chairs were broken and we couldn't sit and read, only lay down. We were directly on the laguna (no swimming) but we had to go to their other hotel to be on the beach and the car distance was 10 minutes.
The staff seems to do what they are told. The internet is expensive. They did not clean the yard from falling leaves after a windy evening. Nothing close by without a car. Parking is rare. It is extremly noisy. From the second floor at the end of the hotel, I could hear the phone at the reception.

The hotel is clean, well located (not on the beach), and the grounds are nice. However, the way we were treated was insulting. As soon as we entered the room, I notice there were no glasses. I went to the office and ask for glasses and an ice machine. The guy at the office told me they didn't have any, but I could go to the restaurant to ask for both things. Fine. I went there and they wanted me to pay for plastic cups! I went back to the office and explained this again. He told me that the restaurant is under other management and he was not responsible. And no, he had no glasses or ice. I had to pay for both. Then, the TV wasn't working. I went to the office again. The guy told me I had to wait until next day for the maintenance guy. I asked him to bring us other TV from another room. He said it was not possible: they had no vacancies. Right before attending me, he had been talking over the phone saying he had more than 5 empty rooms. So, if you want to be treated like an idiot, go to this hotel.

Me and my girlfrend were looking for a not so expensive trip too cancun. We are from the netherlands. We checked out the reviews before us. So when we arrived at the hotel. We were very suprised! The room was oke and the view was stunning! When you close the balcony door then you will not hear the beats coming from the party centrum! A supermarket is within walking distance. The only thing that we didn´t like very much. Was the acces too the beatch. We loved it in cancun!
