“David's Perfect Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

This Hotel is in Goliath's Land, with all the big monster hotels. You feel you are home alone with style. We stayed there in November 2011, my Husband, Mom, Sister with her 4 year old Daughter, i would say it is a Hotel more for Couples or Solo Travellers, or families with grown old kids .
It was just awesome, all the people from Hotel were so kind and servicial, i had to say there was no one who didnt say "hola", we took our Breakfast always at the Hotel and it was fantastic, my Mom and Sister love "Chili" so they made a special "Salsa" for them. Our 3 Suites were spacious, we had a problem the first day with my sister's room (Air conditioning) but they gave her another suite and this one was better. All the personal at the Lobby were great, and i take my Hat off for the man who cleans the Beach at the hotel early morning, the best Beach of the sorroundings, always without Algae or Garbage.
This jewel is place at the best location, you can walk 3 min. to the Kukulkan Plaza (Luxury Avenue) and 15-20 min. to La Isla Shopping Mall, even 40-50 min. to all the Discotheques. This Hotel has an Art Gallery, the whole Hotel is a Museum, with some Statues und Paintings.
They even have honorary members, 2 "Iguanas", one at the front Entrance and one close to the Breakfast Room, that is cool for the Kids when you can see them. There is a Restaurant for dinning in Hotel, unfortunately and because of the location we went always for a walk and took dinner outside.
Suites have bath tub and Jacuzzi at the terrace, a big Closet, and an electric iron. There is also a small Spa in front of the Beach, we'd made 3 Massages and they were good made and the prices, comparing with other spas are super OK.
You have to considere that this is not a low Budget Hotel, also not "All Inclusive", for what it offers the price it's OK, also at the Restaurant the prices are according with the service and quality of the Food they give.

Room Tip: There is a Honeymoon Suite, at the top of the Building, the view is super but the room is smaller th...

“Like staying in a large house almost alone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

My husband and I spent 5 days here in October. We needed time to just vegetate and decompress. I don't think we could have found a better location. We had no desire to DO anything. We slept late every day, had breakfast in the small restaurant by the pool, snacked on fresh guacamole or ceviche at lunchtime (with cocktails, of course), wiled away our afternoons by the pool and/or napped, then went out to dinner. The staff was perfect. The view was perfect. The room was clean. I even liked the bed that others have described as hard. My husband and I never go "back" to any place, since we like to try new things. But as we left, we agreed, we could easily return to Casa Turquesa for another vacation like that!

Room Tip: Ground floor has direct access to the pool, but the higher floors (including the entry level from th...

“I loved this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

Casa Turquesa is truely a hidden gem. It is a small "boutique" hotel and I felt like I was staying in a well staffed mansion. There is more art and sculptures on the grounds than many galleries I've visited. The grounds are well maintained and the staff could not have been friendlier.I've stayed at several of the larger properties nearby and Casa Turquesa is my favorite - by far. The Jacuzzi on balcony, overlooking the ocean, was icing on the cake.
Large rooms with marble floors and a huge bathroom are well maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Room Tip: A room on the second (main) floor or higher has a better view.

“A Perfect Getaway”

We spent 5 days/4 nights at this fine resort. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We particularly enjoyed the lack of pressure to take a timeshare tour or do anything else. We agree the bed was very hard as was mentioned by other Trip Advisors, but that was our only complaint and I still slept well.
We found the food to be very good, although a few more choices would have been nice. We had no problems with check in or any other service that was offered. The staff went out of their way to please us and they were very eager to make sure we were satisfied. Unlike other areas of Cancun we felt completely safe at Casa Turquesa, it is next to the high-end mall in Cancun and also very close to a police station.
After our last trip to Cancun being spent at a large timeshare resort where you had to hustle for beach umbrellas, wait in long lines for food and constantly be asked to take a tour of a timeshare, we found this place to be perfect. We would highly recommend for any couple looking to spend somequality time together.
The resort itself is spectacular with lots of art to be seen in the lobby and in your room. Our balcony on the second floor room was spacious and an area where we spent a great deal of time taking in the beauty of the area.
We actually felt like we were in a different world compared to our previous trip to Cancun.

Room Tip: any room 2nd floor or higher provides a wonderful view of the Caribbean Sea.

“Casa Turquesa - Great boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

Convenient location (there's a mall just beside), good service, friendly staff, great rooms, beautiful hotel. Complimentary breakfast is delicious, but could offer more options. Wifi internet is free, but signal could be better.
