I absolutely love this resort. It is located in a perfect place on the hotel strip. The local bus stops right in front and you can go just about anywhere for $1. The food is fantastic and the staff couldn't be any better. Try the flank steak in the steak restaurant, it has the best flavor. The beach is gorgeous, sometimes it can be quite rough in front but the pool is awesome so not a big deal. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

I recently stayed at Beach Palace from January 13-22, 2012. Although I didn't stay at Cancun Palace I did spend about 50% of my free time here as I love the staff and facilities very much!

Bar staff


Are you kidding me? These guys work their butt off to please you! Ceasr Espinoza is a magician with the drinks! Simply amazing! PROMOTE THIS GUY! He deserves it!

Alavaro, Manuel, Roberto, Alex all were excellent and provided amazing service!

Restaurant staff

Great! Food was delicious! Hector at Ciao is the best waiter EVER! Jairo is a wizzard at the grill! This guy is hilllarious and a great cook!


Gym

The gym here is great! Once of the best resort gyms I have ever been too! Luis who is the manager of the gym is a special person! He cares so much about you and your workout! He's always in a great mood and you feel better just speaking with him. When Luis is on days off nobody looks after the gym. Nobody to ask for assistance. Nobody to stck towels, water. There aren't any water bottles any longer at the gym (cost cutting measure by HRC management). Hardly any fitness classes any longer (HRC management). These items REALLY disappoint me as a customer! Luis does and amazing job and truely cares about the gym and it's customers.


Hard Rock Cancun Construction


While it could be heard going on it really isn't very intrusive. They are building the new Guitar Bar where the old front desk used to be.

Leonardo's name has changed to Ciao. (Italian Restaurant)

Lobby Bar will become the new Brazilian a'la carte restaurant. Delete steakhouse.

Live cover bands begin playing at the pool at 3;00 pm which is pretty cool I thought. Nice touch!

I know HRC is updating the rooms but Im not sure when that is starting or finishing. I htink they're doing some minor room changes like colour schemes, decor and such.

The resort seemed a little more lively, not rowdy just more fun! Im excited to see it when completed!

Pros - A very nice property, well situated and pretty. The pools are lovely with 2 swim up bars. Ask for Cesar at the volleyball end bar for excellent service. Ample choice of restaurants; food good. Face to face encounters with staff are very pleasant. Special kudos to Miriam, waitress with the braces, so pleasant and accommodating. Manuel & Manuel, waiters at the romantic beach dinner were excellent too.

Cons - Drinks are of course watered down at this all inclusive. Make friends with a bartender to remedy this. Mattress is very firm. The $1500 resort credit has strings you wont figure out till you arrive. Only $300 of it can be used at spa. Dolphin swim worth it. Isla Mujeres too & romantic dinner. The catch with the things NOT services (tequila, photos, silver jewelry, etc) is you have to pay 11% tax so you spend money chasing all 1500 points and it's better to leave points behind rather than spend money on things not wanted/needed.

Confirm everything twice with all excursions/spa services. They had only one of us down for the dolphin swim. Expect the shuttle back to airport to be 30 minutes late. The scheduling people do push for timeshare appointments, but easily avoided if firm. You have to confirm that just like it says 48 hrs in advance too. Saw another couple in the lurch who failed to do that.

Our stay there was excellent. Our daughter got married there. Really great staff and everyone there was every polite and helpful. Food was out of this world very good. Check in and checking out was very fast and everyone was very helpful. Hope to get back there very soon.
