“Try the Rest, Experience the Best”

We were a Group of 10 friends traveling to Cancun to celebrate one of our friends' 40th birthday. This was my first time experiencing 1 week at an all-inclusive resort. From the moment we all checked in, to the moment we left, we experienced top notch hospitality. Our group attended a specially arranged birthday dinner buffet on the banquet terrace. The dinner was exquisite and executed perfectly. I have stayed at 5-star resorts in the past, the Beach Palace will not disappoint!!!
I now acknowledge all of the Beach Palace Resort employees who helped make my vacation Superb!!
1. Yadira/Miguel S./Hermelinda/Fidel=Sky Bar.
2. Misael/David/Gabriela= Tequila restaurant.
3. Jesus/Joshua/Eduardo/Nancy= Pool/Beach Activities!!!!
4. Leticia= Spa/Massage Therapist.

Room Tip: Definitely consider rooms with an ocean view if at all possible. I felt floors 3-6 had the best view...

“First Class All The Way!”

This hotel was perfect! My #1 Tip is to LISTEN! Gather all your info from the employees at the hotel, b/c it's very helpful. If you stay at any of the Palace resorts, then you can visit the other 2 in Cancun and eat, drink and play at no charge. It's all included!! BUT don't let them sucker you into attending a seminar about time sharing. When we told them no, that was it and they never asked again. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Try it, you'll love it!

Room Tip: If you can upgrade, do it!!! Our room was incredible; we had a Jacuzzi next to our bed and a HUGE ba...

“Great resort, even better service”

Beach Palace, is a great resort. The rooms were immaculate and the location in Cancun is perfect. The service we received at the bars and restaurants was unbelievable. The staff were friendly and courteous and anytime we voiced a concern it was addressed promptly. The service we received from one individual in particular, Eric who was working the bar when we arrived, was far beyond anything we have ever received at an all inclusive resort. We were part of a large group that was attending a friends wedding and Eric was our bartender for the wedding as well, he ensured everyone attending the wedding was having a good time. Eric was friendly, outgoing and is the reason we have recommended this resort to others. Throughout the week he ensured everyone was happy with the services and any issues we had were rectified immediately. We have been to Cancun numerous times and we are coming back to the beach palace because of the unbelievable service. Thank you Eric!

“Superb Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

We stayed for 7 nights and had a blast. The resort is top notch and the staff are all fantastic. Special kudos go out to Fidel & Yanet at the Sky Bar, Efren Beltran in public relations, Gabino, head waiter at the Steak House who always made sure I had a drink in my hand, Andes at the breakfast and lunch buffet who turned me on to the chef's special habenero sauce for my morning eggs, Gabriela who made my morning eggs with a huge grin everyday and Antonio who prepared tableside Mayan coffee after almost every dinner. Of course, I can't forget Juan, the restaurant captain, who always made sure our meals were exquisite and often had something special prepared just for our family to enjoy.

The creme de la creme was our final night where we were joined by Luis, the GM, and Myriam, the food and beverage director, for an over the top dining experience. We were treated to a private dinner for our family of ten served in the kitchen. For each of the seven courses our chef (sorry I can't remember his name) would come to the table and explain what had been prepared in Spanish and then Luis would translate for us. I think this special experience is offered to relatively few, but since my parents have been members of the Palace Resorts for many years, I'm glad to be a part of it.

“Just ok, depending on your holiday style. Wouldn't go back unless someone else paid for it.”

Stayed for a week at the Beach Palace in January, 2012 with my fiancee and some friends. Hotel is one on a long strip of hotels, so no property to speak of. Just a highrise, a pool and a beach. Lobby is unimpressive and feels like you've arrived at a conference centre. Cold and nondescript. No authentic Mexican flavour whatsoever anywhere in the hotel, which is too bad. Check in was disappointing, staff at front desk was not warm or welcoming and flatly rejected our inquiries about upgrades to ocean view rooms using our 1500 hotel credits. No explanation of where things were around the hotel, where breakfast would be, etc. Just dismissive and average reception upon arrival. When we went to the mayan, we had a wonderful experience all around with the trip and the staff.

Rooms are true to the photos. The lagoon view rooms all overlook a 4 lane highway (you smell diesel exhaust from your open balcony, not good) and the mechanics/air conditioning units of the buildings surrounding the hotel. On the highest floor you probably escape this issue on the lagoon side but it really is better on the ocean view side.
Food was mediocre. Asian restaurant was by far the worst, substituting smoked salmon for fresh salmon in their sushi (without telling you), and the cooked asian meals all looked like chunky meat from a can. If you're from a city and are used do half decent cheap sushi/thai, avoid the Asian restaurant. Just not worth it.
The Mexican and Italian restaurants are just two halves of one large restaurant where breakfast and lunch are served. Food was ok in both of those but nothing special.
we used our credits for spa services and those were good, we enjoyed that.
The main pool overlooking the beach is ok but is in shade by 4pm as the sun goes over the building. The music at the pool is very annoying, its hard to read a book with dance tunes pumping all day long. Would be great if they could vary it and turn it down. Felt like Spring Break party time all day. I think that's important for people to know, that the pool area has loud music all day long. I assume the rooms close to the pool would suffer from that music too if they wanted to have a nap on their balconies during the daytime.
Beach was very nice, great sand and surf but i can only credit mother nature for that, not the hotel.
In general, the staff was nice. Gabriela at breakfast, making her omlettes was lovely, as was Andres, one of the waiters on breakfast and lunch duty. Great service and they make efforts to remember you, which is nice considering how many faces come through there each week.
Nice to not have to cook. Breakfast and lunch were best. Dinners were a bit disappointing and not something we looked forward to, which you should on a trip like this.

This hotel is fine if you're into partying and noise, subpar food and nothing to do but drink and lay around a loud pool. Beach was nice, away from the noise of the pool and nice view.

If you're looking for more authentic mexican feel with some more space, multiple pools, nice grounds and low buildings without a "crowded" feel, go to the mayan riviera (try el dorado seaside, valentin imperial, etc). For the same money, you can enjoy a much nicer vacation with a less "bargain" or "vegas" feel. I really feel like we overpaid for what we got at the Beach Palace hotel. Had we gone on a last-minute bargain deal, i wouldn't complain but we booked in advance and paid the same as Mayan hotels, so I was really disappointed.

The evening activities were also lacking so we were bored after dinner and didn't want to leave the grounds for something to do. The sports bar was lame, felt like a flourescently lit high school gym from the 80s. not a nice place to hang out at all. The rooftop bar and pool were vacant at night, so felt weird sitting there. It would have been nice to have a place to go to enjoy drinks and see some shows. The shows by the pool were all too windy to enjoy. Too bad there are no movies in the rooms as well, my fiancee complained about that.

So, out of 10 i would give this a 5.

Room Tip: Lagoon view would only be ok on 11th or 12th floors. Otherwise, welcome to rush hour traffic, diesel...
