the location is fantastic and the beach to rooms ratio has got to be one of the best in Cancun. The rooms were a little tired and could do with a bit of smartening up, also from a sound proofing point of view they are not very well insulated. The food was very good in the main buffet restaurant, slightly less so in the beach resturant but still acceptable. Staff are very friendly. On the whole a very pleasant stay.

Got back 08 January. This was my third time to the property in the last 5 years. We had a fabulous time. The weather was cool. Windy on the pool side but calm near the sailing beach. You can walk the beach for miles as it is all the way at the end of the strip. We brought our 2 children and i must say we all had a great time. Snorkeling was amazing! My children did scuba lessons in the pool! The food was pretty decent and the white chocolate bread was still the best by far. The resort is holding up for Club Med standards. The best rooms in the best location are the deluxe oceanfront rooms for sure.
Jade section for suites is a little too far away from the main area but the pool there is fantastic. The shows need to be worked on as I have been to many other clubs and these were the worst by far. Waterskiing there which is a huge bonus for those who love the sport because it is included in the package and you can ski as often as you like as long as you are over 12 years of age. We will definitely go back!

We stayed in May 2011 as a family (a 4 year old and a 3 months old) and we did enjoyed our stay. We had two communicating rooms and I really loved it with the kids. The rooms are nice and clean. We really did appreciate the baby welcome kit (stroller, bottle heater, crib) that made our life easier. There's also food available for baby at the main buffet. The food was excellent. It's the best food I ever had at an all-inclusive. The staff is really friendly and professional. There's really something about Club Med employees that makes your stay pleasant. I would go back in a hart beat !

First time club med with family, 2 children 9 and 10 yo. The trip was a huge success, the resort is 'elegantly simple'. We had 2 adjoining rooms facing the lagoon(in the Topacio Building). Rooms were spacious and kept very clean, For us the location was perfect--close to the pool, beach and the dining area. The resort was the perfect family trip--the kids club was amazing, the activities as well as the staff really made an effort to engage the children at all times. Alan, who worked in the boutique, really bonded with our kids too and made it a special experience for them. My wife and I hung out on the beach for the most part under a palapa, read books, and relied on 'Eddie' one outstanding 'beach runner' that kept us entertained and our glasses full for the week. Food was very good, the buffet had so many choices, we were well fed! Too difficult to get into the subjective of 'good' for being in Mexico or by American standards, but I would say some of both was true! Las Casuelas, the a la carte reservation restaurant, for dinner was a disappointment. We thought it would be a 'special' meal, but we unanimously thought food was actually worse than the buffet, you had to limit your choices, and the kids had to "behave" more than at the buffet. We also went at 7:30 and the place was empty so not much ambience. The snorkeling was an unexpected delight, for the kids the reef was perfect, tons of fish etc. Internet access we paid for, however our room did not have wifi access only ethernet which was not helpful for my macbook air or our iphones/ipad...Jade rooms are supposed to have WIFI....We did not look at the rooms at Jade, however, based on our needs and limited time in the room, I suspect I would not have paid more for them, as for our activities a little less convenient...If I went alone with my wife I would consider as they have a separate pool area etc. The feel of the resort very european as one would expect, and not the college drinking crowd, so for us this was important as a family. We will be back no question!
