OCEANVIEW: better than any oceanview room I've had in Hawaii. SERVICE: Everyone's goal is to make sure you have the best time. The staff go out of their way to help you. There were a couple of times when we needed our bill quickly at the outside restaurant, you should tell your server ahead of time because 'quickly' is not how things run in a resort town like Cancun. RETURN: I would recommend this hotel to someone else. I would also like to try another hotel to compare since these rooms were $300+/night.

We just returned from FAGCB. We had a wonderful time. They gave us a cold drink and cold cloth upon check-in.

The hotel is immaculate and beautiful. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. This hotel is close to lots of shopping and restaurants. This hotel is very quiet and peaceful. This is not a hotel for the party crowd.

Only negatives: You can't take a nice long walk on the beach because of rocks, piers, etc. Food & items at resort are VERY PRICEY! Go next door to the convience store to get water, snacks, etc. People play the "towel game" and hold chairs by the pool and don't show up for hours to use the chairs. This is not a negative for the hotel - just the nasty people staying at the hotel. No wireless internet connection. You have to pay to access the internet.

I am a frequent business traveler oriented towards 4-5 star hotels , this hotel is neither .
It is over- priced , out dated & badly in need of up dating . The standard rooms are very worn , my AC was noisy initially & then finally broke completely down . The food is OK but again over-priced . Everything has a price here , even the gym is 10 $ a day ! When my AC broke I asked to be upgraded based on a 25% occupancy & the so -so room . They did but I paid dearly for a suite . Ended up leaving early due to the fact that Cancun itself is really only for the partying & yelling crowd & just didn't click w/ me . When I checked out I was promised a refund eventually for app . 600USD in upgrade costs which I have never received !! 6 weeks later ! Why can a CC be charged immediately but not refunded on the spot . Needles to say I do not plan on ever seeing my 600 $ again . I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason ,,, ever.

Stayed at the FA Coral Beach the last week of March. Everything was great. The service is absolutely the best I have ever had at any resort. I travel a lot for business and pleasure and FA takes the prize. I do admit I think it was over the top great because the resort was not that busy no destinations in Mexico are busy right now. The staff was working around the clock you could look off your balcony at midnight and there would be three employees raking the beach. They are currently updating one of the towers so it is closed, updating rooms and replacing balcony railings with glass. The beach and pool are the best in Cancun. As for the safety of Cancun right now it is fine. My wife and I walked several miles every night down the strip with no problems.
