Not only did we get a great price on Expedia, this hotel has the perfect location and is fabulous in every way! The only possible downside is the smoke in the lobby due to Sanborns being there. The service was excellent, the room was spotless and comfortable and the zocalo is ten steps away. We had a room with a balcony giving us a great view. We would love to go back!

I just returned from Vera Cruz and a 9 day stay at the Hotel Vera Cruz (Calinda). It is right in the heart of the historic area of town with lota of nite life and activities. The hotel itself is not new, but would be on par with a Holiday Inn (Without carpeting). Clean & well kept, pool, restaurant, bar, valet service, but most of all some of the friendliest staff I have seen in ANY hotel. I think it deserves your consideration. Once a year I take a trip to different places and stay at different hotels, some many times nicer than this, but I couldn't be more satisfied staying here. L Pepin --Minnesota

Very pleasant hotel and conveniently located right acroos from the zocalo. SURPRINSIGLY QUIET for being accross all the activity going on at the plaza. I had a room in the sixth floor with a view to zocalo. The swimming pool is now at the second floor and it is a good size.The rooms are adequate and clean.I strongly recommend this hotel.

on my yearly motorcycle trips to mexico, I like to spend a few days r. & r. in veracruz as a respite from the usual small towns and villages encountered on my quest for back road adventure. The Colinda is just great. Excellent rooms,GREAT location, and good value for what you pay. Not cheap, but worth it. If you are on budget, try the Imperial. Have stayed at both. Can't beat the location if you like the nite life. In both cases, the parking garage is about a block from the hotel. Sure miss the garage that was located in the Calinda. that is now becoming more rooms.
