We stayed here on 25 July 2004.

Extended waits for elevator which had inadequate capacity.
Dingy room with views onto internal services only.
Noisy and ineffective air conditioning.


Plus points:
- we did get our requested early morning call.
- good shower

Very poor value at 1000.00 pesos per night (not including breakfast)

(see my review of Hotel Emporio, Veracruz, which, although the apparent cost was higher, included excellent breakfast and complimentary cocktails and was a much better experience)

Walking distance from many of the city's main attractions, restaurants, music venues, main plaza, market, phone/internet services, and malecon, or a short, inexpensive taxi ride to other attractions. Excellent, friendly, helpful staff.

Very helpful staff. The front section, especially the rooms with a view of the fort, are the best. Claustrphobic elevator. Nice looking little restaurant, but with Gran Portal and Parroquia so close, I never ate there. Convenient garage. Best deal around if you like nice bathrooms, cold air conditioning, cable tv, room service, and the like. No pool. Ideal location, at the start of the malecon, there's a fiesta right outside all the time. I stayed for days and days.
