We found this to be a well run hotel in a great location. Every afternoon it has a buffet of fabulous desserts and luncheon items with live music all for less than $10.

We started out in a double room (very nice). After we were there a few hours the flusher handle on the toilet stopped working. We reported it and in a very short while we were moved to an eighth floor ocean view suite where we stayed the rest of our week at no additional charge. Spent several hours just watching the ships and other traffic entering and leaving the harbor as the hotel is situated near the entrance breakwaters.

We found the staff to be hospitable, helpful and friendly. The hotel honored it's commitments as to price and did not charge us extra for the upgraded facilities (even though we do speak Spanish) The accommodation was clean and well serviced by the maid and room service. The restaurant had good food and excellent service.

The location is excellent, we could walk comfortably to everything we wanted to see without being in the noisy downtown. What is more important we could walk safely from downtown to our hotel after dark and late at night.

We did not have any noise problem even though there were gatherings of young people staying there.

If we return to Veracruz we would definitely stay here and have recommended it to several people already.

Rooms were great - especially if you paid the extra to get the ocean view. Fairly nice location as only a short walk to the main downtown square etc.

We stayed in 3 hotels in Veracruz and this one was by far the best value for you r money.

As soon as the hotel owners found out that we spoke spanish they immediately overcharged us. The hotel gave us one price over the phone to a native spanish speaker and then when we got there and they realized that we were American they bumped up the rates. I am a study abroad student living in Queretaro and my spanish is pretty good but being that I am blonde they knew, the bar has nice bartenders but the food is horrendous. It also states that it is "on the beach" which it is, but no one in their right mind would even dip their toes in that part of the beach, it is a good thirty minute walk to a nice beach or an eight dollar taxi ride. Find somewhere better...

The hotel was hosting over 300 teenagers for the same weekend we were there. The teens were spread out throughout the hotel. These kids took over the hotel the entire time we were there. Screaming out open windows and from balconies at all hours of the night. Prank phone calls to our room, knocking on our door all night and running. Security was inadequate and ineffective. Hotel staff did nothing to protect the other guests in the hotel. We could not be moved because the kids were on every floor. Staff did not immediately try and help us with the harassment. They finally blocked our phone and put an attendant in the elevator to stop the kids from pushing all the buttons. The managers on duty and staff offered no real compensation when we left. After we were home I wrote the hotel management again for an explanation. The response I received was "Kids will be Kids" and "sorry for the inconvenience" we invite you to come back and stay with us. I was hoping they would realize that most people use a hotel for rest and that it is their responsibility to provide that environment. This hotel does not take security and guest comfort seriously! My family got very little rest and were harassed constantly by these kids. We now wished we would have changed hotels instead of waiting for management to get control of the situation. This hotel should be avoided at any price.
