This wonderful little gem has a great location near the center but in a quiet corner. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the security is excellent. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. There are tours available on site .
The courtyard is bright and sunny . Although there is not kitchenettes n the rooms there is a kitchen and usually a spot to refridgerate your snacks! Purified water available at all times.
Perfect for every age and group there are single, double and family rooms available.
I LOVE that the owners choose to not to rent to wild parties and noisy crowds!

When I arrived in San Cristobal, I had my hand-bag stolen with money, credit card, passport and mobile. I realized that when I was in the Posada...Roberto, the owner, was immediately active: he solved all my problem looking on the web what I had to do and losing half of the day after for coming with me and my husband to the local police station. He was really friendly and gentle and he saved our holidays! The Posada is really nice, full of color and clean. You have also the free web access using the posada's laptop from which you can also make some skype call with headphones they give you. The position is great: close to the center and to the bus station but not in the chaos... you can silently sleep:) There is the possibility of Italian, continental and Mexican breakfast and to reserve some daily trips they organize with local guides.
I felt really fine: the feeling was to be protected and comfortable as at home.

This is a well located, cozy & modest Hotel, its 2/3 blocks from the City Center and 20 mts from the main touristic avenue of the city. The staff is very friendly, warm and helpful. Everything is into a walking distance from the Hotel. I didn't try the meals at the hotel so I cant really comment anything about it. The rooms are modest mexican style, simple, clean, warm on winter, clean linen and towels. The overall value/price, its great.

We were having our honeymoon in Mexico and this was the first place we stayed in Chiapas. The atmosphere in La posada is so familiar, cozy, relaxing that is somehow in contrast with the crowded San Cristobal. The personnel at the reception is gentle, nice and friendly. The rooms are clean (we slept in two different ones, because initially we didn't plan to stay more than a day but we enjoyed so much that we stayed more) and the location is close to everything you need. Roberto and his wife, the owners, were so helpful and careful, especially because we had a small issue with documents and they helped us a lot. Staying at La Posada turned our holiday into a great experience and we strongly recommend to be there, if visiting San Cristobal de las Casas!
