The family that works in the hotel is extremely nice...but other than that I would say there is not another draw to the place. Our experience was not so great - the place is very dark inside and our room had a very moist/damp feel to it. The room was dark as well as the common sitting area when you first walk in. We had a bathroom in our room and two afternoons into the night it smelled like sewage in our room and it was pretty unpleasant. There was a sliding door to the bathroom that we tried to close to trap the smell...but it was completely off its hinges and was a bit complicated to deal with. I would say keep looking rather than stay here. But if you really need a room b/c everywhere else is booked - i don't think it would be horrible to stay here.

I took a room with private bathroom here based on Lonely Planet's recommendation but was very disappointed. While the room was clean and the bed comfortable enough, the room was very unattractive, the bathroom was cramped, and there was a strong smell of disinfectant. There were also several minor annoyances such as a charge for additional toilet paper and no hand towel. The price has also gone up substantially since the last edition of lonely planet. One of the managers explained that they were able to raise prices because it had become very popular based on lonely planet's review in the most recent edition 2-3 years ago. Much better deals for rooms with private bath can now be found elsewhere, however.
