This is my second stay at Casa de Mis Recuerdos. We lucked out and managed to get a room only 4 weeks before Dia de Los Muertos.
It is a beautiful home in a great location. All of the family here is welcoming and kind and goes out of their way to be helpful.
The breakfast is delicious and so filling you can usually get by with just a taco or memelita for lunch.
We have also formed friendships over the breakfasts and margaritas prepared by Lorena in the evenings. After our first visit, we kept in touch with 3 people who stayed here at the same time, and this time we've met wonderful people as well.

This time we are staying in Verde, one of two rooms that share a bathroom in the upstairs front of the house. Also, if you don't want to participate, they will help you plan your own thing, such as finding the bus to indigenous market, getting a good rate on a taxi for the day, telling you a not-to-be-missed restaurant in the little village you plan on visiting, or introducing you to a painter who you can visit at her studio.
Room Tip: Verde and Alondra share a bath, but it is self-contained, not jack-and-jill style. Also, they provid...
