This hotel was more than adequate for our needs on this trip. We were in Oaxaca for 6 nights.
The hotel was clean and came with free wireless. Lovely pool area, which was quiet during the day, good time to relax.
Rooms were equipped with flat screen TV's and cable (which worked). Shower provided warm water, I wouldn't say hot but with the temperatures, a hot shower was not needed. The rooms have working air conditioners.
This hotel is about a 15 minute drive from the Zocalo. We took taxi's and they never costed more than 50 pesos and the hotel staff were so lovely and ordered us a taxi whenever we needed one.
Being out of town does mean the hotel is in a quiet residential area but the walls to the rooms are thin and you can hear your neighbours TV.
Hotel Restaurant is lovely, nice food that is a reasonable price, not like normal hotel restaurants.
If I was coming to Oaxaca again I would stay here.

Decided to stay for 4 days because it was close to a friend of mine who lives here.... Room was noisy, reception staff never once smiled or said hello, couldn't have a shower for 2 days because the water was cold, breakfast was OK although they got the order wrong totally both time we ate there. Keep away, this place is awful!

Believe me, I've travelled a lot and stayed in lots of hotels, but this was the very first time I was literally robbed in a hotel. Some money went missing from the hotel safe. Needless to say this experience gave this hotel a very bad impression. Obvioulsy, after complaining to the management and making a formal complaint with Oaxaca police (terrible experience: 3 hours to make a writting complaint - endless red tape), I never saw any of my money back.
The rooms were a bit shabby too.
The food was nice though, to say something positive

A small group of 10 adults looking for safe, real mexican food "mole" and great location far away from downtown but close enough to everything and sightseing ....Nice prices and tours to El Tule and Montealban ruins. In the hotel you get what you pay with the best service in town.....yu must be there!!
Noticed great place for meetings as well for family.
