I just spent 2 weeks at TOLC in one of the B&B rooms, the first week on my own and the second with my husband. I loved it and would return in a heartbeat. I agree with all of the glowing reviews below - warm, comfortable, friendly. Gary, the owner is wonderful and I enjoyed many interesting conversations over the tasty home made granola and yogurt breakfasts. The people who work there couldn't be sweeter and I felt well cared for. It feels like staying in a community. It's true that you have to understand where you will be living, and that the B&B rooms open into the garden used by the students, with the hammocks, chairs and tables often full of young people, chatting, studying, resting, playing. For me that's part of its charm. I was studying Spanish and this provided opportunities for practice, for an intercambio with a young woman at the centre and a way to get a glimpse into lives I otherwise would not have access to. Stay there. Make a donation. Check out the wish list and bring them things. It's a really worthwhile place.
