“Pick a room away from the roof top bar”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011 via mobile

Stayed in Camino Real Santa Fe during my business trip do Mexico DF. My room was confortable and clean. Had a little bit lack of light though. Breakfast was great with a variety of Mexican specialties. Location is excellent for those who'll the staying in Santa Fe barrio. If you'll be around the center, try other locations because Santa Fe is away from it and traffic is terrible in the DF.
But if a could leave one tip of advice it would be for you to ask for a room away from the roof top bar (Kyo). It plays loud dancing music into the night until almost 4h am. I stayed 3 nights in room 1202 and all 3 nights were bad slept because of the noise of the music and the people shouting in the opened roof top. Tried to ask for a different room in the front desk, but it was of no use. Having this solved, I would recommend the hotel.

“I will not stay there again”

This hotel looks pretty but the look isn't everything. They charge you for the Internet a lot of money. Even for local calls they charge you. The food at the restaurant is good but expensive too. The place is located in a nice area in Mexico you can take a cab for like 3 USD to take to Santa Fe Mall, which is the biggest in Latin America, it is really impressive. You can have dinner on the tons of places aroud the hotel...

“Very nice and friendly service, trouble with their internet makes less business-friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2011

I'm staying here, and the room is very nice and modern. Everybody I have had contact with is very polite and friendly, and the restaurants are good. I specially like the terrace at Bice. That being said the Internet is very crappy. The service comes down every 10 minutes. Also, I went into the jacuzzi last night, and when I turned on the propellers a lot of dirt came out. It probably had not been used in a while, and therefore was very dirty. This hotel still has smoking floors, and I can feel some cigarette smell coming in from the bathroom.
Overall very good, but should fix the Internet. The other things are relatively minor.

“Great hotel in Commercial district of Santa Fe during the week”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 March 2011

The hotel is very new and the rooms and all facilities are modern and comfortable. The hotel is a good choice if you have to visit one of the US or European companies in the district. It is very near to the offices of Microsoft, IBM, HP, SAP and rioght opposite of the German Center. Around the hotel you can find many good restaurants and the roof top bar and restaurant kyo is absoplutely worth visiting. The hotel features a spa and a fitness center but no swimming pool. An ATM is right next to the hotel and executive taxi service is offered 24/7. The concierge service is also very good and any tours around the city can be organized easily. Only problem is that the area is completely abandoned on the weekend - especially on Sundays. Located near some busy streets you should try to get a room in one of the top floors - but the noise is acceptable during night hours...

“Yes, I would definitely stay here again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2010

I was a little hesitant when our trip advisor said we would get better value here rather than next door at the Sheraton. Normally that means less service at a lower cost. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The staff were cheerful and helpful from the outset. We had a team meeting and the attending hotel staff could not have been more service oriented or helpful, right down to getting fresh hot water every time I wanted a cup of tea! Meals were of a high quality. The rooms were large and very clean but I agree with the earlier reviewer who complained that the room lighting was poorly designed and needs to be improved - but yes, this is a minor issue given the overall impression I have of this hotel. Please keep up the good work.
