“Great Benefit for Money Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Stayed in City Express EBC this last weekend with girls friends.

In my opinion, the BESTs of this hotel are location and service. It is located across the street a fine Plaza for shopping, eating, Starbucks, pharmacy, etc, AND only 1 block from a nice area of Paseo Reforma. Very safe and convinient location.

During our stay, we needed extra towels and hairdryers, which were provided righ way from the hotel staff. We also ordered wine for room service and were perfectly serviced. We didn't want to wait the check-in time, so we left our lugage with the front office with no extra charge. Other words: service was excellent

Continental breakfast was ok. I always expect a lot from breakfasts, this one was simply ok, nothing special. But they offer a menu with eggs and other typical foods if anyone wants.

The room was small, with 2 matrimonial beds. Matrimonial doesn't mean queen or king sized, it's a smaller sized bed, not very comfortable for 2 people to sleep. We atayed at the 12th floor, and it was quiet and dark at night, and it had new appliances. Bathroom with few amenities available, but everything running perfectly.

I'll definetly stay there again if I'm running a lower cost trip.

If you want a more fine-tunned place, there's a Holiday Inn in that very same Shopping Plaza.

“Great for 1 night stay”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2011

If you are looking for a very short term Hotel at a great location where almost everything you may need is located at a walking distance then you might pick this hotel.
The front desk staff was friendly. The rooms are very smalls 96 sq ft. The air conditioner unit works great. The breakfast options could be much better. My room was clean but I observed how a food tray last 1 and half day in the middle of the corridor. The Internet Wireless speed was good.

“City Express was great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2011

Stayed 4 nights at the City Express EBC Reforma the 1st week of Feb. I found the hotel to be just fine, the room was pleasant, quiet, and with comfortable bed, good bathroom, and nice shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. The wireless internet worked fine, and the included breakfast was good - better than the Holiday Inn Express Reforma where I stayed a couple of weeks previously. The restaurant was open all day, but I did not eat any other meals there, since the area is full of good eating and drinking options. At more or less half the price of the HI Express, I consider this to be a much better deal, right around the corner. I used the City Express for a business event, and rented a meeting room for 2 days; the reservation was efficiently handled, and the room was ready and laid out as per my request. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel and would stay again without any doubt.

“Great Location, Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2010

If you go have to work around the area, this a great place to stay.

The location is excellent, right in front of a mall, very calm at night, lot of restaurants nearby, even exciting night life if that's what you want. I felt very safe walking around the area.

The rooms are small, but I think it's good for what you pay.

Bad things:
- The shower was a little dirty (the walls had a bit of mold)
- The bed and pillows were just not comfortable

“Clean, comfortable, great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2010

This is more of a business hotel and we stayed here for three nights at the end of a month's budget travelling so it was a lot better than many places we had stayed!!! It was spotlessly clean and well serviced every day. The room was big enough and very comfortable. The shower was hot AND powerful which was so lovely we could hardly get out from under it after some of the miserable cold trickles we experienced on our trip!! Breakfast was included and was very good with plenty of choices of the sort of food we like to eat. The staff didn't speak much English, but hey, we're in Mexico, we should make an effort with their language. We realised this hotel is also a training school for staff which explained some of the groups of people hanging about. Free internet and free phone calls were an extra bonus and our friend could leave his car there.

My only criticism is that it could have been anywhere in the world, a bit of Mexican art on the wall would have been nice.
