“A great stay, awesome service, like home away from home.”

I stayed at 6m9 for 4 nights in April 2011. The booking process was simple and clearly explained on the website and via a follow up email after I sent my inquiry. I paid the first night via PayPal and the balance in US cash on arrival, with no problems. The host, Oscar, was extremely helpful. My room was large with a nice bathroom. The interior of the house is a bit dark, but it's cozy and cool when compared with the heat of the afternoon outside. Thanks to Israel, the place is spotlessly clean. And thanks to Lis, breakfast is fresh and relaxing. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room are also spotlessly clean and refreshing especially with a can of free Mexican beer, available in the refridgerator upstairs. The location was ideal, close to clubs and restaurants in Zona Rosa and the Insurgentes metro station. I rode the metro quite a bit and walked hours each day with no problems. The fitness room at 6m9 is great, and if you need more there's a huge gym inside an office complex called Reforma 222 nearby. I can't say enough good things about this place, they made my first trip to Mexico City very relaxing and reassuring. I hope to go back soon.

“Excellent stay - great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2011

We really enjoyed our stay in 6M9. A bit tucked away our taxi driver eventually found this beautifully restored grand old house in Zona Rosa.

Check-in was friendly with comprehensive information. Our room was large, nicely appointed with a large bathroom.

Breakfast was provided which was more than sufficient for our needs. The wi-fi connection in our room was good.

What really impressed us was that we were allowed a 6pm check-out at the end of our stay. This really mean we could fully enjoy our remaining time in Mexico City before leaving for home.

Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for something a bit different to your standard hotel in Zona Rosa.

“Ok but will look for another location next time”

The 6m9 is a pleasant place to stay, really feels like a real home, and the room i had wAs very large and confortable. Maybe a bit overpriced, but that's the case with most gay places. The guesthouse is very well kepped and spotless. Staff is friendly and professional. Free soft drinks and beer are included, which,is a very nice touch. Breakfast is nothing special but adequate. Despite all these positive points i'm not extremely enthousiast about this place. In my view the staff could do better in informing guests about the gay life in the city. Although i don't regret my stay at 6m9, if i visit mexico ever again, i will look for a place in condessa or roma, which are definatenly more pleasant areas (also for gay life) than zona rossa, where the 6m9 is located.

“A great find in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2010

This extremely nice town house was perfect for our needs. We spent quite a bit of time in Zona Rosa. The guys running the place are extremely easy to work with. The pool and all the amenities close at 8pm, so be aware of that. We didn't use any of the amenities, since we basically just used the room to sleep and shower. The wireless worked great for us. The continental breakfast was adequate. The upstairs room has a place where you can get some sun, only half of it has a roof, which I thought was a nice touch. We'd definitely come back here and stay again.

“Excellent option in the heart of DF”

This is the first time i stayed in a man-only, gay-identified guesthouse. I was very nervous at first because I was worried the place was going to be sleazy and a cover for one-night-stands or professional escorts. I could not have been more wrong. 6M9 was incredibly charming, with a very professional staff, comfortable lodgings, convenient, and very affordable.

I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom. It had two double beds, ample outlets, a safe, a TV, and a DVD player. It had a nice view to the street, but there was not too much noise at night. The room was well cleaned daily and the beds were quite comfortable with good sheets and comforters. WiFi did not work in my room and I had to go downstairs to find a signal. I went in September, so there were lots of mosquitoes, but I had available electric RAID mosquito repelent in my room.

Breakfast is included daily. It is served by friendly staff who sit to chat. It consisted of fruit, yogurt, bread, OJ, coffee, other juices...not fancy, but tasty.

Facilities include a good steam room and a hot tub. I used the hot tub almost everyday and the steam room once. It's a good place to unwind.

My only critique would be with the very strange and kitsch decor. This in itself is an experience. I will post a few photos later.
