We made the mistake of mixing this (soon to be Hilton Doubletree) place up with another well known hotel on Mexico airport which uses the same ‘T2’ in its name, once we realised we had made the error we kicked ourselves and made our way to the Hilton sales desk (downstairs in T2) where they arranged our collection, after half an hour or so we were collected by some friendly staff and taken on the 30-40 minute journey through some busy traffic to the hotel (not exactly near the airport!)
The hotel is in pretty good shape with good staff on-site to help with any problems, the free airport shuttle was arranged for the following day when we arrived.
The area is pretty rough and dangerous looking so we didn’t venture very far. A large shopping centre is just across the road where we had dinner and stocked up on necessities.
Overall its alright for a quick night as long as you don’t want to explore too much, but if you want an airport hotel for convenience, don’t make our mistake and check you have got an actual airport hotel!
