“Nice hotel, nice people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

This is a very nice hotel with all the amenities and the customer service that you expect, the staff is friendly, the concierge is pretty efficient, the breakfast is amazing, the gym has all the basics that you need, it pretty much has it all! The only thing I don't like is that they have a lot of parties and stuff going on at the club downstairs so if i have a lower floor room you won't be able to sleep well. Other than that is a very nice hotel near everything!

Room Tip: Try to request a room on a highest level, so you're not bothered by the noise from downstairs.

“Nice Hotel in the heart of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

Rooms are nice, ask for softer bed as some of the rooms have a very hard bed. Staff is highly accommodating and friendly and the concierge can give you all the information you need to find any site, store or restaurant.
Great workout room, indoor pool is beautiful. Night club, bar, restaumrants. You can walk almost anywhere or take a bus to Zona Rosa, Polanco, or the main square. Lots of shopping on the way to the square and more shopping in Zona Rosa. Outdoor restaurants in Polanco.

Room Tip: Ask for very comfortable bed. The junior suites are quite nice, too for a longer stay!

“Too much at "The Level" for too little”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

It is a small room, the wardrobe closet for just two hangers, nothing comes straight for opening the closet or entering the bathroom. The bathroom has been refurbished, that´s the best of the accommodation.

Too many mirrors in the bedroom, seems to be in some other place (euphemism). You could see how many times the room has been painted.

If you try to take a look at the Paseo de la Reforma, all you can see is dust (both the windows and the outer cover).

The restaurant very expensive for a buffet lunch. We paid US $100.00 for two persons lunch.
The food with not to many options...ad not too hot. For that same price you can eat much better at a restaurant in the vicinity of Parque Lincoln in Polanco.

At check out we have to wait for more than half an hour, and at the counter the lady did it wrong with our invoice. More time wasting.,,

Warning you have to pay for the parking, $100.00 MXP a day.

Other Melia Hotels are much, much better (Los Cabos or Sto. Domingo, for example)

Room Tip: Not getting back

“Needs some TLC”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

This hotel is in a fairly decent area, walking distance to the Zona Rosa. The only thing is that you need to be very careful walking around this area, especially at night. The rooms are fairly nice, but lobby is dated. The "spa" leaves something to be desired, and if you are there in the winter, plan on wearing a parka to the gym to workout. It is freezing in there!
Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, and the staff was very nice.
The front desk seemed a bit understaffed both morning and evening. I had to do a google search for information from the concierge's computer myself because he was too busy doing something else. Not a winner of a property in my book- and I probably stay in an average of 6 hotels a month for work.

“Excellent room and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011 via mobile

Very welcoming. Diego at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and am very pleased with my room and the attitude of the staff.
