“My Hotel of Choice when in the DF”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. The staff is great, the service is good, and the location can't be beat. You are blocks from La Reforma and the Cuauhtémoc metro stop and within walking distance of almost anything you would want to do. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and a little off the beaten path (touristically speaking). The rooms are clean and basic unless you opt for the minisuite which is worth the extra bucks if you spend significant time in the room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a basic but well run and near everything place in the DF.

“Good for one or two nights”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

We got there late, like around midnight. It was a little weird, but can't define how. Like a scary movie where nothing scary happens. It's true what others have said, small rooms, seem stuffy, lounge is very worn, seems, looks and feels old. People were friendly enough. It seems like the food is going to be good, but it's not. If you must stay here, stay, but there are many more options. You get what you pay for.

“Hotel Prim, nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2010

We checked in on Thursday, because had already spent a week with relatives, and it was time for the family to have some time to ourselves. We greated by very nice bell man and receptionist. We were taking care of in no time, and went straight to are room. I reserved a room for 4 ppl, and was very suprised when we got to are room to see three beds and two bathrooms, one on each end of the room. The room also had closets on each end. Not alot of outlets, so if you have electrical devices that need power, I would suggest bring a extention cord. The food in the resturant was good. Room service was very expediant, and order where right to the letter. I wont say I paid money to stay, I had points through my bank, so I used them to stay there, but it was still well worth it. You a couple blocks of the main road Reforma, which is where the Turri Bus (tourist bus) will pick you up for a guided tour of the city. Oh, let mention that its a double decker no roof tour bus. There is also a mall with in walking distance of the hotel also. The concierge was very nice to point things to do, and places to go. I would stay there again, if the oppurtunity ever came my way again.

“The Hotel Prim turned into the Hotel Grimm”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a friendly lady at the check in area. When we got to our room we found it to be small and stuffy. The bed which was suppose to be a double turned out to be two twins pulled together. When we booked the room we were told that it included a continental breakfast, but the next morning when we went down to the dining room we were told that we did not qualify to get one due to the fact we did not book through a certain company. We talked to the manager and he said that only people booking through certain companies received the breakfast. Our room was warm and stuffy so we asked if they had a fan that we could us, we were told they only had a few and they were all being used. We had to leave the window open during the night to get fresh air and had problems with noise and mosquitoes. I would not recommend this hotel as there are a number of nice hotels for the same price in the area (within two or three blocks).

“Bad bad experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 April 2010

skeevy concierge, dirty rooms, old carpet, awful breakfast (the wait staff wear swine flu masks - awful!), smelly and loud (the bar downstairs has live music and the walls are paper thin). Pay a little bit more and go somewhere else. Its not worth it. Looks like the hotel from the shining and the taxi driver the concierge ordered ripped me off (charged me 7 times what I would have paid elsewhere). never pay to use the internet, I haven't seen a slower computer since 1983.
