“Perfect Location great staff clean rooms what more could you want!”

Great hotel for the money. Super clean hotel with decent rooms. Pool on the roof with amazing views and for all those internet complaints i read FREE INTERNET with a drink purchase on the roof and from what i saw they never changed the password all week. Also i found free unlocked wifi from our room just outside the hotel etc. Great locations in between the Zocalo and the Zona Rosa was perfect for strolling around. No security concerns in the area as we were out and about all around the area well after 10pm nightly. We paid 550$ for two people for 8 nights taxes in which is unbelievable value for the money. Never ate at the hotel but found amazing taco spot right behind it called El Caminiero which was up there with some of the best we ate the whole trip. In addition, there are plenty of street food stalls around the hotel and the Colon monument that are top notch as well. Beds are fine, yes maybe hard compared to North American standards but pretty much par for the course in mexico. The so called 'hawkers' and taxi guys aren't nearly as bad as mentioned in other reviews just give them a smile and a no gracias and go on your way. Ignore some of the negative reviews, free wifi is available if technologically inclined at all and if the beds are too hard for you well suck it up princess they are more than adequate! The staff are A1 and go out of their way to help in any way possible couldnt ask for more... great hotel for the money

“Nice hotel for the price”

Decent hotel for the price $42.00 canadian, booked directly with the hotel, nice lobby, friendly check-in clean room, flat screen TV, bed fairly hard. Bathroom clean with shower only. Room had hardwood floors which was a nice touch instead of walking on dirty carpet and the bath had a tile floor. Wifi is not free and is fairly expensvie. Did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food, Hotel is located about 15 minutes from the Hildalgo Metro stop. Hotel seems to cater to tourist groups. This hotel advertises itself as 4 star, IMO it is a 3 star and no more.

“Good hotel in convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2010

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of a tour of Mexico. The room was clean and plenty of space. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the omelettes particularly good. We did not use the hotel restaurant in the evenings so can't comment on that. There are shops and restaurants close by and it is also easy walking distance to the historic centre for sight seeing/shopping etc. At the time workmen were frantically trying to complete preparations for celebrations on Nov 20th in at the nearbly monument to the revolution so there was some noise - but that should be over by now.

“Nice hotel in the city center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2010

I spent 3 nights in Mexico staying at this hotel, and enjoyed my stay in general. The location is convenient, it is just near the Reforma Boulevard, 15 min walking distance to the central square Zocalo and 20 min to Antropology museum. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, the window was dirty though (perhaps due to some road construction works that were in full swing, sometimes it was quite noisy in the mornings). The breakfast was the best if compared with the other hotels in different cities of Mexico I visited (except Cancun). The staff is attentive and friendly. They refuse to change money in excess of USD 300 per person per day which looks quite strange, however it is almost a general rule in Mexico. Be aware that smoking is alowed at the 2d and 4th floors only. All in all, good value for money

“Small rooms, OK location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2010

The hotel is clean and quiet with a good breakfast. The location is central, but not necessarily from a tourist perspective. They allow peddlers and annoying taxi hawkers outside of the main entrance -- by the end of the trip, I was really sick of people trying to sell me something every time I entered and exited the hotel.
The wi-fi was expensive and did not work. They made me pay cash upfront and would not refund it when the wi-fi worked for only half of the time.
