“Very good service...as always”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

This is the fourth time we stayed at this hotel, and their service remains as good as always. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, nice amenities, restaurant ok, very friendly and helpful staff, no noise, free of cigar smoke, etc. Its located 7 blocks from Juarez Avenue, one of the main avenues of the city, and near Balderas and Juarez metro stations. My only complain, the internet connection...very poor most of the times, we needed to go downstairs to the reception area in order to get good signal.

“Great hotel - about 20 years out of date”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2009

We were upgraded to a suite at this hotel for our honeymoon. It was huge and had a fully operational jacuzzi, but the furnishings dated back to the 1980s, and it is in grave need of a makeover.
Make sure you top up your Spanish before you go as very few of the staff, though pleasant, speak English.

“Awesome Place to Stay ~ Very Large Nice Rooms ~ Great Location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 April 2009

This was a great hotel for the price~! It was very large, the colors are beautiful inside the room. The bathrooms are ultra luxurious with all marble floors shower and sink. They have great bath towels. The beds are very nice, not too hard or soft. The sheets are very good as well. The TV was great and other furnishings nice. A/C worked very well. The Restaurant had a full breakfast included with our room that was great. We ordered from the menu and had the fruit and pastry buffet and it was all included! We wanted ice and they brought it to our room.
The only draw back that I saw was that the view from our room was into the center of the building so we were looking at air conditioners and such....but we were not in the room that much so it really was not a big deal. The only other thing is that, we were under the impression that we were able to take the hotel shuttle to and from the airport at no extra charge. This is not true. The hotel does not have their own shuttle. They have a taxi service that they work with. The taxi is a local driver that owns a small car. He charges you regular rates....we were charged 130.00 pesos in March 2009 to go to the airport. That's a little over 9 dollars in U.S. Funds. That is ok, just a little miss leading. Other than that, it is in a part of town that seems to be close enough to everything. Alameada Park with the very expansive public market place is 7 blocks from the hotel. You just turn left out of the hotel and walk 7 blocks and your at the market in Alameada Park...its great.
Soooo, definitely, I will be back. The front desk staff seemed to always have someone there that spoke english enough to help me. Although my fiance in Mexican so we were ok either way. I love it here......Will be back for sure~!~
