It is a very lovely bed&breakfast, with terrific views over Guanajuato and just a few taxi minutes away from center. Breakfast was excellent and staff was very friendly. Rooms are very nice, with views and lovely furniture. Honeymoon suite with own jacuzzi was a dream! Outside facilities incl. pool are also available. We felt very safe and would have loved to stay longer...

An exquisite, beautifully designed, cozy bed and breakfast! The bed was so comfortable.
The wonderful environment of this place makes you feel like you are at home, and the staff takes care of every one of your needs- making reservations for resturants in the city, getting transportation for sightseeing tours or transportation to and from the airport. What excellent service! The food was delicious and it was different everyday. The patio dining area had such a miraculoos view it is hard to describe. One must simply experience it! The decor was absolutely amazing with the master artists from Mexico in every room from chandeliers and lights to beautifully appointed bathrooms with gorgeous custom made Mexican tile and hand-tooled doors and furniture throughout. Capelo, one of Mexico's top master artists, did such a stunning job designing the beautiful tile above the breakfast buffet hutch. The beautiful pottery we ate from was from Guanajuato's master Gorky Gonzales. I took lots of pictures of this unique Bed and Breakfast Inn. What a wonderful experience it was! We will be back for sure.

I had the opportunity to stay at Casa Estrella in October. It was a lovely place with panoramic views.
The staff provided delicious Mexican breakfasts which held us until mid-afternoon! The beds and linens were so comfortable that we always had a good night's sleep. Since the inn is above the city, we did not experience the noise of the central into early morning hours. Each of the people on the staff were wonderfully helpful with any request. The pool, jacuzzi and gardens were beautiful, giving a sense of relaxation and peace. I would highly recommend this charming bed and breakfast inn.

The city of Guanajuato is a university town with 30,000 students and a population of 145,000 people. Very young and vibrant. The central part of the city is reached through a maze of tunnels. Casa Estrella is about a 10-15 minute $4 taxi ride away and overlooks the city. The facility is small..about 8 rooms..and is really a bed and breakfast. The rooms are nice and there is also a large shared living room, deck,dining room, pool,etc. Lots to do in the area - several museums including a mummy museum, theaters and mines. Lots of history in this area. The breakfasts were great and we got a couple of good recipes...had great informative talks with both Javier and Janet. The entire staff were very accomodating
