What a wonderful place! We still think about our good fortune in finding this jewel of a retreat. As is common in Mexico, all is hidden , although the front of the converted convent is very inviting. Still, one is hardly prepared for the impact as one enters. Cool, decorated with magnificent art and antiques, the large hall opens onto a courtyard, around which the rooms are situated. Flowers, trees, filtered sunlight all complement the origial paintings and object d'arts. Our bedroom was enormous and a resplendent four poster bed took pride of place. We couldn't believe our good fortune.
And our hosts. . . what a great time we had in their company! Consumate organization married to wit and kindness. . . that is how we remember our friends,Arturo and Paul. They were lovely. We laughed so much in their company. The food was great, the house more like a home( although a very classy home), and the conversations around the breakfast table wide-ranging and always diverting and amusing.I don't know how they have the energy to do all that they did, but they should know how long after they leave, their guests will remember them with thankfulness and affection.
