Hotel is on the outskirts of city, but was fine for me because I was attending an event at the EXPO Center, and could walk to get there. I thought it was overpriced. I tried the breakfast buffet at the restaurant and also thought it was overpriced. I have eaten far better breakfast buffets at other hotels in GDL that were less expensive and much tastier. In the evening I ordered some cold snacks for room service, and it took them forever to answer the phone (three tries), and then at least 45 minutes to deliver them. I don't think I would go back there because I know there are better places for less money.

I lived in Guadalajara for 4 years and I have stayed in most of the hotels in the area. The best value for a quality hotel can be found at the Fiesta Inn. It is located 2 blocks from the Plaza del Sol shopping center and about a mile from Expo Guadalajara.

This hotel compares favorably to more expensive and supposedly deluxe hotels. The rooms are actually better than those costing $50.00 more per night, the buffet is better quality and more economical than other hotels.

For really good Mexican food, the Mercado de Abastos is a short cab ride away. The food is very fresh and is 100% authentic. I travel to Guadalajara every two months to visit my son, who is studying there.
