Only stay at the hotel if you have an early early AM flight, and then calculate an extra 15 minutes to find your way from your room to the exit door. This is not an exaggeration. The hotel is a labyrinth, and the deskclerk no help at all about anything. Even if you have a bellboy show you to your room, you'll never find your way again; there are no interconnecting corredors, and you have to go down to the lobby (if you can find it) or one of the couryards (if you can find out which door to exit from the courtyard.) The rooms are very acceptable, but the restaurant was the only one in our 11 days that gave us the tourista. However, it is the only hotel near the airport, a mere walk across the street. The Tapitio is closer than downtown Guadalajara, but if you have to leave early, you might not get a taxi, or get stuck in the eternal traffic snarl of greater Guadalajara.
