I stayed here for 2 nights and it was great. Very clean and reasonable ($48 USD for 2 beds). We had a ground level room with the pool right outside our room on one side and a garden like parking area on the other side. Room had a door on both sides so first night we sat outside our room on the pool side, next night on the garden side so it was like being in 2 different places. We did not have a car but this would be an excellent place to stay if you had one with parking right outside your room.
There is a restaurant on site with fairly good food. It closed around 8 PM so was not a problem with noise. Around the corner is a great vegetarian restaurant with wonderful breakfasts. Also within walking distance of the U of Guadalajara. We stayed in this area to see the Orozoco mural and art museum at the University. Unfortunately, both were closed for 2 weeks around Easter (spring break). Good news was the Templo Expiatorio was nearby and it is the BEST church I have ever visited. The stained glass was wonderful, a must see. Also check out the Casa Orozco which was a short taxi ride from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
