“excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2011

We were reluctant to book this hotel for the weekend stay at cuernavaca because we thought we wouldnt get that "mexican" feel. i mean really, a holiday inn in Mexico. I expected cheap service and mediocre rooms. They proved me wrong. I cant find a negative thing to say about it. We got room 132 which is 1st floor with glass sliding doors to the pool, somewhat small but good enough for a couple. King sized bed was very comfortable and free wi-fi interntet, mi i pad loged in quickly.. The service was excellent, very clean rooms. The pool was heated and the surrounding areas are full of trees and well trimmed bushes and flowers giving that "mexican hacienda feel". Truly a good choice for couples or if traveling with kids. Cant comment on the restaurant cause we ate out every day but the buffet "looked" good.

“INCREDIBLE AND FRIENDLY SERVICE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2010

Suites are beautiful and spacious. The Sunday brunch is delicious and the staff very friendly. I will certainly be returning for my next trip in 2010.

“Great accomodations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2008

I should preface my comments by saying I did not expect much from this hotel. Therefore, when I found a clean room, well maintained, with beautiful warm pools outside, and had a margarita I was well pleased.

“Expensive in US comparisons”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2007

We stayed here for two nights on a weekend. The hotel takes advantage of the exchange rate and you end up paying more for the room than was listed on the website in US money. I would definitely recommend buying a room through Expedia or Priceline and paying in advance. At least that way you don't end up paying more because of the exchange rate. The beds were sooo soft and comfortable, and the A/C worked amazingly well. The pool is incredibly small. There is a second pool, but it is located a good ways away from the hotel rooms. The grounds were very well-kept and everything was very clean. We had great food and service at the restaurant. Overall, a good experience, but a lot more expensive for the room than what you would pay for something similar in the US.

  • Liked — The bed!
  • Disliked — the size of the pool and not enough lounge chairs for the guests

“best place in Cuernavaca for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2007

The gardens are gorgeous, the pool fabulous, the rooms quite nice. (But beware of housekeeping staff -- they enter without knocking! which means you should lock your belongings away when you are not in your room). We stayed here 4 nights and easily would stay here again on our next visit. For some reason, the hotel doesn't advertise that it is very centrally located, and a short distance from the historic zone. This place is MUCH better than any place you could find immediately in the historic area. Try it, you'll like it (I think). Be sure to get the breakfast buffet as part of your package.
