“Beautiful but VERY expensive.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2010

We got a killer room - one of the Terrazas Suites - that overlooked the entire garden area. The room was a good size but the Terrace was almost as large as the room. We didn't want to leave the Terrace. The bathroom was old - definitely needs updating. I stood in ankle deep water as I showered. The restaurant was good, excellent service, and very attentive. Walk around the garden and run into a peacock strolling around the same space. If you're driving, you will get lost. We circled the hotel a few times on frustrating one way streets before we found the front entrance. The hotel is a short taxi ride to the Palacio de Cortez where all the nightlife is happening.

in town massages are 600ps and in hotel 1300ps. I was sick in the hotel and the management took 20% on doctor`s fees and pharmacy bills. I was charged for a massage i did not took and i was told transport for the airport was 1500ps but the next morning when i left i was charge 2000ps. When i asked for a manager nobody was avealable before 10h and I had to leave at 9h for my flight. At 3000ps a day the whole process is unacceptable

“Very special! Beautiful gardens and delicious food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 March 2010

I went to Las Mananitas on a Saturday afternoon. We did not have a reservation so the wait was approximately an hour or so. But the wait was the best part! Those waiting to for a table are seated in the beautiful garden. You have plenty of space, you can order drinks and appetizers, watch the families, talk, walk and take pictures...very relaxing and enjoyable.

The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the pistachio/fig tart for dessert. Best tart ever!!!!

“A truly wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2009

We stayed for 3 nights in a terrace suite which is a large bedroom, living room, dressing room and bathroom with a private entry courtyard with a fountain and separate terrace off the bedroom/living room areas. The room was large and rustic with traditional furnishings and so private it felt like we were staying in our own little house. Our only complaint was the extremely hard king sized bed which made for uncomfortable sleeping.

We ate all of our meals at the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious (especially the Mexican specialties) and the service was first rate. The bar area overlooking the garden was also lovely and we enjoyed afternoon cocktails sitting in the garden. The staff were all so welcoming and accommodating to anything we asked for - they always made us feel like we were their only concern. The hotel grounds are gorgeous with beautifully landscaped gardens and the exotic birds are a special touch. Who knew peacocks were so acrobatic...

The absolute highlight of our stay were the treatments we had at the outstanding Spa Orlane. It is five star lush and luxurious all the way and is located in what was the original owner's beautiful house. Our massages were excellent and the pre-treatment water journey (a steam/soaking pool/sauna/shower/hot tub circuit) was amazing as was the extremely attentive staff. The spa also has a private swimming pool where you can relax either before or after your treatment, and since this pool is only accessible through the spa it's very quiet and private. If you enjoy spa, then make it a point to splurge for a treatment (or two) here!

We can't recommend this hotel any more highly and look forward to our next opportunity to return to Cuernavaca and the wonderful Las Mananitas. Luxury, relaxation and a romantic weekend are just about guaranteed...

“A beautiful location - great restaurant and bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2009

Stayed 7 nights in the Garden Suite room which is a large bedroom with a sitting area and large covered deck overlooking the garden and pool. The room has a large bathroom area also. Breakfast was included with our price and we enjoyed ourselves every morning overlooking the terrace area where the peacocks run free.

We had dinner on two nights which was very good; if you get a chance try the filet or salted whole fish. We had drinks on the terrace area - the drinks were also very good.

I found the staff extremely good and the management the same. We checked out at 8:15 am on Sunday morning with no problems so we did not find this an issue. The hotel is located within 15 minute walk to the center of town. It is also extremely secure with only one entrance and one car entrance. The whole hotel and grounds is surrounded by a 15 or 20 foot wall as in common in this part of the city.

I would stay again in a heartbeat.
