“Amazing gardens, old facilities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

The best thing about Las Quintas has allways been their gardens, which feature many different plant species and some unique trees that are over 350years old! It is a pleasure to walk around the gardens or admire the plants while having breakfast.
I have stayed on Las Quintas for many many years. I had stopped going because the service left much to be said, but on my last trip, I can genuingly acknowledge they are making an effort to improve. The staff is very helpfull and makes many efforts to please their guests.
The food is not excelent, but it is quite good (I can notice the constant improvement over past trips on this area) speciallized on traditional mexican dishes. They offer a good sunday brunch of international food.
The down side are the rooms, they are clean and have everything you need but the furniture is quite old. They really need to change the tubs, sinks and TV (everything works propperly, it's just old)
The supperior rooms are spacious but old, the newer rooms are smaller. They have a general pool and an adult only (+18) pool. It is nice because they are sorrounded by beautifull plants, but again the pool furniture is not very well kept.
I appreciated that they let me stay an hour after check-out and offered to let me stayed more for about $10USD per extra hour which I found reasonable.
I find the hotel better suited for people over 40 years old, but they have activities for children.
Now that I see they are improving, I will very likely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Old rooms are more spacious. Specificly ask about which rooms have no mosquitos.

“Okay stay, service needs improvement.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011 via mobile

Where to begin... I have mixed feelings about this place. The property is gorgeous. Big gardens and beautiful pools made it for a nice view.

Rooms, at least the ones I saw were small for the number of guests they could accommodate (double beds seemed too tight for the given space).
Some rooms were renewed while others still have old tiles, bathrooms and tv. Staff was mostly very attentive and willing to do anything to please the guests despite having a small encounter with a front desk agent who wasn't very helpful during a small medical emergency we had. Food was okay, not great.
Breakfast buffet was big and had most traditional Mexican dishes but taste wasn't up to standards. Would recommend but they can improve in service and food and beverage quality.

“Good choice for a short stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

Stayed recently for a week on business. The best element within the hotel is without doubt the grounds and space you have to move and walk around. A really pleasent layout with different small swimming pools and nice scupltures dotted around. A mixture of blocks and bungalows I was in a ground floor room (35) with outside balcony and small living area and a large spacious bedroom. The room itself and furniture is a little dated but clean, functional with everything you need. Breakfast was pretty good with excellent service. Had one dinner in the restaurant which was just ok, the only negative really is that it's next to so much greenery that it was a haven for mosquitos so had to change tables to try and get away from them.

Would return but would be tempted to try something else in the area.

“Reservations mean nothing at Las Quintas”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2011

Our company has used Las Quintas for many years. We have hosted numerous groups at the hotel and basically have given all of our company business to this hotel. On our last trip we arrived late at night and were informed that they did not have any rooms for us. This was depite having confirmation numbers for our reservation! We don't know why they chose to give away our rooms and lose the business of repeat customers. Fortunately there are other hotels in Cuernavaca who will probably value the opportunity to gain new clients.

“A really charming hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2011

We loved our stay at Hosteria Las Quintas. Room was spacious, clean, with well-equipped bath, and a lovely patio overlooking the gardens, where we hung out at night for after-dinner wine. All service was excellent, staff friendly and there seemed to be a good mix of national and international guests. Worth the price. Good location, with a few taco joints within a few blocks that are worth exploring, and a mini-super on the corner for snacks, softdrinks, bottled water, and wine. The restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating. It was so nice just to stroll through the gardens, with exotic flowers and plants. A real pleasure.
