My girlfriend and I were looking for a safe and relaxing, fun destination. I shared how relaxing and fun my last visit to Sueno, and that made the choice of destination easy.
This time, we hired a driver and ventured a bit further afield, up to amazing Patzquaro. Amazing local artists and each town with its own craft specialty.
Returning to Sueno del Mar was like coming back to my exotic home away from home. The owners make sure that everything is perfect and that I can therefore just kick back and enjoy my vacation.
Can't wait to return.

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at Sueno del Mar and it never fails to take-my-breath away each time I walk in the front door. Harriet and Ron present their home to their guests with such amazing love and enthusiasm there is no doubt that they want your experience to embody every reason why they fell in love with Zihuatanejo. Their home is all about the beautiful Mexican architecture and art that takes complete advantage of the sounds of the ocean and jungle and the incredible climate of Mexico. We love this place...can't wait to come back!

Sueno Del Mar indeed has a beautiful drop dead gorgeous view from the living room and master bedroom. The unit is also very tastefully decorated with great bathrooms and very efficient air conditioning system. The kitchen is very well stocked and very convenient just like home but during our week stay in March we did run into a few snags:

1. Upon checking into the unit, Elizer, the property manager neglected to advise us that the microwave was out of order. This did cause us some inconvenience because we like to nuke up coffee, tea, and any left overs from restaurants the next day.

2. We did not end up cooking in the kitchen during most of our stay or leave any food out at all and there were still ants in the kitchen, living room by the sofa and floor, as well as trailing in on the dining room walls from the outside crevice. We were supplied with a bottle of Raid but I really dislike ants so everyday it was spraying with Raid.

3. We also found a cockroach in the kitchen cutlery tray and cockroach excrement in one of the kitchen pots.

4. Check out is very early 10 am the maid arrived ! But the package we received stated 11am check out. 10am is really too early in view that our check in time was after 3pm.

I must admit i was a little disappointed after our stay because having paid $225/night plus taxes plus $250 cleaning fee for the week, i didn't expect the unit to have ants, cockroaches, broken microwave, and 10am check out when we were advised 11am checkout.

This was our 6th time in Zihua. Each time we rented a different condo but I got to say that Sueno Del Mar was the best. It is well located, has superb a view of the Bay and is amazingly furnished. It instantly felt like home. Nothing was missing. Since my husband and I love cooking we were glad to see that the kitchen was so well equipped. So we enjoyed going to the market buying fresh fish and seafood, cook them for a candlelit dinner watching the lights of the boats in the Bay. It was magical and peaceful. The nights we didn't feel like cooking, we went out. There are many great restaurants walking distance from the condo. Harriet was more than helpful. Not an email or a question went unanswered (and I ask a lot!). She made sure our stay would be unforgettable... and she succeeded!
